This is a sub-page of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone.

Unused Graphics

2d

spr_cmn_all

This file is also leftover from Arcade.

HMPDFT-Level11-20.png

There's unused difficulty level icons for 11-20 that were in Arcade. These were actually once used in the first Arcade Future Tone test location around the time when the game was first announced, so they were most likely left in from that. However, only up to 17 was used, so 18-20 was unused entirely.

spr_cmnitm_thmbXXX

HMPDFT-TempMiku.png

Some of the spr_cmn_thmb images contain an image of Miku with "temporary" on it. It's seen in 50 of them. It's also quite larger than the normal ones. These are seen in Hair Style sprites that don't exist. And for modules entirely that don't exist as well.

Customization Items

HMPDFT-PhantomMaskSprite.png

Preview image for the skipped Phantom Mask item in spr_cmnitm_thmb029.

HMPDFT-MikuTagSprite.png

HMPDFT-RinTagSprite.png

HMPDFT-LenTagSprite.png

HMPDFT-LukaTagSprite.png

HMPDFT-KaitoTagSprite.png

HMPDFT-MeikoTagSprite.png

Preview images for the skipped Name tag items in spr_cmnitm_thmb125 to 130.

Hair Styles

There's some hair styles that can't be changed. However, a few of them have a preview image anyway that don't get used.

HMPDFT-LittleRedHairSprite.png

Little Red module can't change hair styles, and can't be used at other modules, but it has its own preview image for it in spr_cmnitm_thmb522.

HMPDFT-SonicStyleHairSprite.png

Sonic Style has one as well in spr_cmnitm_thmb543.

HMPDFT-StylishEnergyRHairSprite.png

Stylish Energy R has one in spr_cmnitm_thmb707.

HMPDFT-ScissorsHairSprite.png

Scissors has one in spr_cmnitm_thmb717.

HMPDFT-StylishEnergyLHairSprite.png

Stylish Energy L has one in spr_cmnitm_thmb760.

HMPDFT-StarmineHairSprite.png

Starmine has one in spr_cmnitm_thmb764.

HMPDFT-SchoolJerseyHairSprite.png

School Jersey has one in spr_cmnitm_thmb787.

spr_gam_cmn

This file was taken straight from Arcade, but only the gameplay icons like the notes and Challenge Time are used in this.

HMPDFT-Encore.png

The unused Encore difficulty has its own icon as well.

HMPDFT-EncoreStage.png

An unused stage that may have been something related to the unused Encore difficulty. This was meant for Arcade however, not PS4 Future Tone.

HMPDFT-Multi-PressSlider.png

Interestingly, there's icons for a multi-press slider (the hold one), but it never gets used because no songs use this multi-press. It is unknown why this never got used. The start of the note would have used the normal multi-press slider icons.

spr_gam_edttit

HMPDFT-NoImage.png

An odd graphic that just says "No Image" that seems to have no purpose.

spr_gam_pv203

HMPDFT-TempEndOfSolitude.png

For some reason, the anime PV version of Solitude's End has a temporary logo for it. It may have been planned to be a new PV at some point, but got scrapped and didn't get a new PV until Diva Extend. The image was originally a raw image, and no other image in the game uses raw ones, except spr_gam_pv406, which is also unused. Only Dreamy Theater 1 and the original Arcade (back when it was first released) used raw images for some of the graphics.

spr_gam_pv406

HMPDFT-TempLINKLogo.png

LINK also has its own temporary logo, but it never got changed since the song was scrapped. This is the other image that also used a raw image.

spr_gam_result

This file is also leftover from Arcade.

HMPDFT-DummySongImageResults.png

This Now Printing image is used as a dummy image for the song images at the results screen.

spr_ps4_adv

HMPDFT-TemporaryLogo.png

A Future Tone logo image with "Temporary" on it in kanji.

HMPDFT-Trial.png

This was used for a trial version of the game at the title screen, as the text translates to "Trial version". However, this can appear at the title screen still, if "etc.trial_version" is set to 1 in game_db.txt, as this enables an event version. It will make this image appear on the top right corner of the title screen. This only works in FT however. FTDX the trial_version string was removed from eboot (and literally the only one removed. The other trial strings still exist), so it can't be enabled anymore.

spr_ps4_cmn

HMPDFT-DummyInfo.png

Some temporary info for the PS4 version. There's also 3 "temporary" icons written in kanji, Extreme and Ex Extreme have a difficulty of "r23094", and there's 2 mouse icons on Ex Extreme and Normal.

spr_ps4_menu

HMPDFT-DummySongImageRandom.png

This Now Printing image is used as a dummy image for the random select song images.

spr_sel_pv026

HMPDFT-SakuraRainImages.png

This song background and image is actually for Sakura Rain -standard edit-'s images. This is the same case with LINK's images (spr_sel_pv406).

HMPDFT-SakuraRainLogo.png

However, interestingly, Sakura Rain -standard edit-'s logo is still here.

spr_sel_pv207

HMPDFT-SaturationBackground.png

HMPDFT-SaturationImage.png

HMPDFT-SaturationLogo.png

Saturation's song images are still present from Arcade.

spr_sel_pv406

HMPDFT-LinkLogo.png

Sadly, LINK's logo is just Now Printing text.

spr_sel_pv618

HMPDFT-HachiBackground.png

HMPDFT-HachiImage.png

HMPDFT-HachiLogo.png

Kagamine HachiHachi Flower Fight's song images are also still present.

spr_sel_pv700

HMPDFT-TutorialBackground.png

HMPDFT-TutorialImage.png

HMPDFT-TutorialLogo.png

The Ievan Polkka tutorial interestingly has its own song images, but since this song doesn't appear on the song select, they never get used.

HMPDFT-ChibiMik.png

HMPDFT-ChibiKai.png

HMPDFT-ChibiMei.png

For some reason, the Chibi Miku, Kaito, and Meiko have their Diva F Chibi model texture, which doesn't seem to be used for the model at all. Miku even still has Diva F's hidden leek texture.

Hidden Leek

HMPDFT-HiddenLeek.png

Just like in Diva F, a hidden leek texture was added to the Chibi Miku's textures with no leek model. Along with this is a poorly drawn hair texture.

STGNS124

HMPDFT-LogoImg.png

Sekiranun Graffiti's edit stage still uses the Arcade Future Tone logo on the stage platform, since the stage isn't used anywhere in the game.

STGPV092

HMPDFT-PicFrame.png

This texture is used at Starduster for the picture frame in the bedroom. However, Miku in the image still uses her PSP model, and it also looks like she's in T-pose.

STGPV104

HMPDFT-RinRinSignalTex.png

For some reason, LIKE THE WIND's stage has a texture of Rin Rin Signal's stage at a certain angle. Normally, it would be impossible to see the red spotlight like that without seeing any of the part of the stage they dance on. Normally all textures are flipped vertically, but this one was originally flipped horizontally instead.

STGPV218

HMPDFT-SnowPrincessEnvmap.png HMPDFT-SnowPrincessEnvmapDark.png

These two images are used in The Snow White Princess Is...'s stage model, but they both have a small Alt box in the texture for some reason. It could either be used as an envmap for something, or it's for the mirror image behind Miku at the first stage.

STGPV220

HMPDFT-WorldsEndHancehallStageImage.png

This image is used at World's End Dancehall at the beginning behind the door leading to the next stage, but on the bottom of the image is the first set of lyrics cut off a bit for said song, normally unseen in-game.

STGPV238

HMPDFT-MiraiLogo.png

In Sing&Smile's stage, the original texture that was used in Mirai for the signs around the stage still remains with its textures. It also has the original Mirai logo, as in this game they changed the sign to the Future Tone logo. But this one they made darker, and changed the resolution from 128x128 to 256x256. It could be used for some kind of mapping at the stage.

STGPV251

HMPDFT-MiraiLeftover.png

In Piano Girl's stage textures, the same exact night sky texture that was seen for less than a second in Mirai without showing the stars still remains with its textures, completely unedited (besides being flipped upside down).

STGPV432

HMPDFT-RenderImg1.png

This image is used at Here Comes Karakasa-san's stage for some kind of mapping, but at the top of the image is some small green text, which looks like it's the resolution of the image, but it looks like it's a different resolution than what it actually is (possibly the original resolution), as the resolution is 512x512.

HMPDFT-RenderImg2.png

Same case as the image above, except the text is on the bottom of the image, and it looks like it's something else, but it's hard to read what it says.

photo_print

There's several jpg images in here leftover from Arcade. This and the stamp folder inside this directory were actually taken straight from Arcade, with a few more added stamps for Future Tone.

Unseen Frames

The animated image of Miku singing at 39 has some unseen frames at the end of the animation, with her eyes opening. The camera moves away from the image before she gets to open her eyes, so they are never seen by the player. This is actually a scene from Melt's PV. (pv_005)

HMPDFT-UnseenFrames.gif

A video of it can be seen below (skip to 1:22).
