Developers: Chunsoft This game has a hidden developer message. |
If you were expecting this game to be related to the Messiah... you were wrong.
Secret Passwords
There are five special passwords in the game.
Staff Roll
Password |
---|
Translation |
Show me the friends of the Famicom production staff |
Shows the credit roll, followed by a secret credit roll for London Studio staff, which includes personal messages.
Piano
Password |
---|
Translation |
Motsu-kun looks like he wants to indulge himself in playing a song |
Immediately goes to the piano puzzle at the end of the game. This is a "free" mode where you can just mess around with the piano to your heart's content.
Sound Test
Password |
---|
Translation |
Takurin sobs when they want to listen to music... |
This triggers a sound test! The game will show various pictures and play a corresponding song, of which the name is shown below the picture. Pressing any button makes the song fade out and move onto the next track/picture. There are a total of 16 songs that play before looping back to the beginning.
Password |
---|
Translation |
Good-byes, glittering eyes, end of the skies |
This password is a string of song titles from the soundtrack. It too will bring up the sound test, same as above.
Palette Editor
Password |
---|
Translation |
To Ms. Emi from Haimoto: Will you be Mr. Toku’s wife? |
This password takes you to the "real" piano puzzle at the end of the game. Solving the puzzle (pressing the keys in the right order) will continue the game to the ending. (Hint: the notes are C-D-E-F-E-D-C-E ...basically, just press the white keys in the order 1-2-3-4-3-2-1-3)
- Palette editor controls:
- Start + Select – Enter palette editing mode.
- D-Pad – Change selected color values.
- A + D-Pad – Move cursor.
- Start – Return to game.
"Mr. Toku" is chief programmer Yutaka Gyotoku, as seen in the secret staff roll above. Similarly, this password will also trigger that staff roll.
