Mario Cart is an unofficial Flash racing game with Mario, Green Mario, Yellow Mario, and Purple Mario driving shopping carts.

It's certainly a lot closer to its source material than Sintax's Mario Cart, in any case. A sequel, Mario Cart 2, added new items and more varied tracks.

Car Material Textures

Unused car textures taken from a different game. From these textures, it looks like the game was edited to use Mario textures and a shopping cart model instead of these textures and car models.

Debug Mode

If the debug mode is turned on when you enter a race or time trial, you can spawn models including unused ones.

By pressing the keys from 1 to 9, it will spawn models that are used in the level and unused.

Pressing E will turn on noclip, though this also turns off any interaction of objects like mushrooms, bananas, and the finish line.

Unused Models

Unknown Model 1

A cube with no textures, possibly a test model. Can be spawned by pressing 7 in Debug Mode.

Unknown Model 2

MarioCartFlashUnknownUnusedObject.png

What looks like either a water tower or a tall-legged hut, with a black texture. Can be spawned by pressing 8 in Debug Mode.

Unknown Model 3

MarioCartFlashPyramidUnusedObject.png

A giant...pile? Mountain? Pyramid? Can be spawned by pressing 9 in Debug Mode.

Unused Object

Early Mushroom (Main_CturboT)

In-Game Ripped Graphic

An early version of the Mushroom object can be spawned by pressing T. In-game, it acts like a banana object.

The metadata file simply lists the game's name as "Adobe Flex 4 Application", suggesting that it was the program used to build the game. July 4, 2012 may be the build date.

Sprites

C3DMOTORACING2
C3DMOTORACING3

Reference to a pair of unused blank sprites for the title screen, suggesting that "3D Moto Racing" was a codename for this game.
