The Japanese version of this game starred real-life golfer Nobuo Serizawa. For the North American version, he was replaced with a robot named Eagle. The logo and portrait on the title screen were both redone.

The other three characters were changed from three male golfers to an adult couple and a young woman. (Also, Selection instead of Select.)

The receptionist is a brown-haired Asian woman in Birdie Try and a blonde white woman in Mecarobot Golf. Her hair was made curlier, and her suit was changed from blue to gray. Also, as can be seen above, the game's only course was renamed from "Lake Side Golf Club" to "Hyper Golf Club", with the logo being redesigned.
