Mouse Trap is a maze game with a mouse that can turn into a dog by eating a bone. There are also gates you can flip back and forth to make new paths.

Like the board game of the same name, it takes about five hours to set up before you can start playing.

Unused Graphics

Where a kid can be a mouse can be a dog
A Chuck E. Cheese graphic that doesn't use the standard game font. Chuck E. Cheese did help fund the development of a few arcade games in the early eighties, so this might have been a game credit. Or, it could have been part of a special message for Chuck E. Cheese cabinets. Either way, it's not used, so the obvious mouse synergy was lost.

Version Differences

Early (Rev. 1-3) Final (Rev. 4-5)
You thought you'd get something funny here? You didn't? Well then

The rounded wall openings were lengthened, making it easier to tell what part is actually solid. However, the solid maze tileset used for the player's death animation was never changed, so the rounded openings will flash between the new and old designs.
