Also known as: Yūsha no Kuse ni Konamaiki da. G (JP) This game has unused modes / minigames. |
No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either! was the Badman franchise's first foray into the world of free-to-play, microtransaction-filled fun. After 5 years on the PlayStation Store, a Steam release was made, with some curious oddities to boot.
What did we do to deserve this, my lord...?

Korean and Japanese leftovers
In TextAsset\systemLanguage, near-complete Korean and Japanese language translations are featured, which are inaccessible in the Steam, iOS, and Android releases, being left over from the PlayStation Vita release. Without any image media or Hero details to accommodate the translation, it appears that there was no intention for the Steam release to actually use them.
The file lists some dates; most things related to the Korean translation were decided on by the 19th of March, 2014, shortly before release. The file also notes that some English monster names and quotes were decided on by the 28th February 2014; including the mistakenly-named Clean King, the Wookiemon, the Beautiful Golem, and a quote about purchasing more monster slots.
Scrapped Survival Mode
The game features an option for "Survival Mode", a multiplayer feature from the PlayStation Vita's Japanese release that never made it overseas. Despite being released in 2019, and a "coming soon" message in-game, no updates including the mode have been released. Text relating to the mode can be found in TextAsset\systemLanguage.
Work had been done on the mode, including a Traditional Chinese translation; for example, the mode's name:
Japanese | English | Traditional Chinese | Korean |
---|---|---|---|
マルチプレイ Maruchipurei |
Survival Mode | 生存模式 Shēngcún móshì |
멀티 플레이 meolti peullei |
Likewise, given the mode's presumed cancellation, dummy text for "Coming soon" exists.
Japanese | English | Traditional Chinese | Korean |
---|---|---|---|
強さ… Tsuyo-sa… |
Coming soon… | 敬請期待… Jìng qǐng qídài… |
힘… him… |
Yu-Nama: The Puzzle leftovers
Leftover text from the 2013 title Yu-Nama: The Puzzle, which this title was built off of, is present in the game's files, and translated no less. This includes the Boss Attacks and Extra Mode, the latter of which was changed into the "Dunnn-Da-Dun-Dun-Dungeon" mode. The text can be found in TextAsset\systemLanguage. Given the Traditional Chinese translation was added for the Steam release, it could be that it was intended to make a return, or, more likely, it was done by mistake.
Japanese | English | Traditional Chinese | Korean |
---|---|---|---|
ボスアタック Bosuatakku |
Boss Attack | 頭目對決模式 Tóumù duìjué móshì |
보스 어택 boseu eotaeg |
Japanese | English | Traditional Chinese | Korean |
