Thumbs.db files

Found in the files of the 2.0 version of the English translation is a partial cache of Thumbs.db files, similar to the ones in Yume Nikki and other older RPG Maker games.Thumbs.db files were used by older versions of Windows to display thumbnails by storing them directly next to the files being accessed.

These files are not present in the original French version due to it being modified on newer hardware after the fact, leaving only a handful left.

Name Thumbs.db Image Used Image (If present) File Date Notes
BattleCharSet Folder Thumb OFF-thumbs battlechar folder.jpg OFF-battler.png 9/4/2007 (18:05:24.203) An older version of the standard battle character set, notably missing the Batter's death sprite and the sprite used when fighting Enoch for the second time. Perhaps more interesting is the inclusion of the Judge, who is only playable in the final fight before the ending; based on the file date, it's possible the multiple endings were planned for as far back as 2007.
Faceset Folder Thumb OFF-thumbs faceset folder.jpg OFF-le batteur.png 9/4/2007 (18:05:24.390) An older version of first set of facesets. Six sprites are missing on the lower columns, and one sprite in the first column (Japhet's phoenix form) is just a white square, corresponding to sprites for Zones past Zone 1.
demo1 OFF-thumbs demo1.jpg 6/4/2007 (14:17:34.0) Ending card used for the game's demo, the legible text translates to 'OFF end of the demo'.
demo3 OFF-thumbs demo2.jpg 6/4/2007 (14:26:56.0) Third ending card for the demo, appears to be crediting people and providing a link to the game's official website.
demo2 OFF-thumbs demo3.jpg 6/4/2007 (16:13:12.0) Second ending card for the demo, listing the two main creatives for the game (Mortis Ghost and Alias Conrad Coldwood).
