Unused Songs and Images

OverRapid switched to a server resource download mechanism after .obb expansion pack was discontinued by the Google Play store. During the initial download process, unused graphics and encrypted music are saved to the root directory. Those graphic ranges from assets in now unused scenes, to thumbnails of removed songs. One notable example of unused music includes B@kamin's Violin Knight, which was an internal test track, but for some reason is still in the server. Multiple unused background music, including arcane.ms and credits.ms, were also downloaded.

Unused Code

OverRapid was developed using Solar2D (previously Corona SDK), which uses LUA. The scripts are compiled to LUAQ and packed into "assets/resource.car". Inside are multiple iterations of Scenes, including multiple tutorials, credit scene, info scene, and achievement popups.

Copyright reason removals

Multiple songs were removed due to license expiration or musician requests. Consult the OverRapid Fandom Wikia (Removed songs) for more information.

Beta testing removals

These tracks were removed before the public release: Bliss, Frozen Satellite, Kinetic, Nible, Traceability.

Arcane Difficulty charts

During season challenge 2: Arcane Protocol, a series of Arcane level charts were playable. Those have since been removed. These include:

Internal testing charts

Multiple alternative charts were discovered in older APKs, including an additional 4k difficulty for "Makes me Wonder" and "Wah!" (viewable here and here), two unused 4k and 6k difficulty (EL, EX) for Hymn 2 U, a now removed song. The official twitter mentioned an "unused" 6kpro difficulty for "stasis" not meant to be used.

Removed Features

Season Challenges

The game hosted two seasons of challenges between 2018 and 2019. Lots of features were only available during the challenges and have since been removed. Consult to the OverRapid Fandom wikia for more information.

Credit page

A credit page was present in the older versions of the game. It contains information about the game's programmer, and crowdfunding supporters. The code, music, and assets exists in the downloaded assets, but there are no entry flags for the page.

Facebook login option

This was removed from the OOBE (out of box experience), but the script that is handling the OAUTH is still pointing to the developer's server.
