Pachinko Kuunyan is the only pachinko game on the Mega Drive, including the Mega CD and 32X.

They compensated by making it somewhat bizarre and giving it an adventure game-like overworld.

Predefined Passwords

Hmmm...
To do:
We should prevent the passwords column from word-wrapping somehow.

The game has 22 (!) predefined passwords, mostly (if not entirely) related to debugging features. Some of these passwords require other passwords to be entered before they will actually do anything. Each of these passwords (except the one below that had its code removed) plays a sound when entered properly. After the effect of the password has been applied, you will be taken back to the password entry screen, alerted that the password is invalid, and taken back to the main menu to either start the game or stack more passwords.

The passwords are listed below in the order the game stores them.

Password Prerequisite Effect
Bit 4 passwords enabled Allows you to test the various pachinko machines. On the main screen, press A and B to cycle between the machines, C to play one, and Start to leave the test screen and go back to the password screen. After finishing with a pachinko machine, you are taken back to the test screen to select another machine.
Bit 5 passwords enabled Similar to the above pachinko machine tests, but only tests the background layers. Once in a table, press any key to go back to the test screen.
Bit 4 passwords enabled "Clear with 10 balls" Every machine has only 10 balls. This password also makes it so that every machine automatically has all of its nail in the best possible setting.
Bit 4 passwords enabled "Nail maintenance". Lets the player modify the bending of the nails, cycling through all 4 possible setups upon inspection. Number 4 is always the best setting, and number 1 the worst one.
Bit 4 passwords enabled "2000 carried balls" Makes it so that the player has 2000 balls to play with, however the kana を is not present in the password selection screen. It was still activated and verified through debugging.
Bit 4 passwords enabled "Force fever: on" By pressing B+Start while playing a machine, you can immediately activate the fever.
Bit 5 passwords enabled "Floor number display" Shows the map index number in a fuxia box to the bottom right.
Bit 5 passwords enabled "Change completion number" With this, by pressing A while in town/parlor, you can advance the counter of machines cleared. Note that it is possible to softlock at the boss floor with this by advancing it to anything other than 0/1 and then clearing the Panda machine. It rolls over, however.
Bit 5 passwords enabled "Double speed mode" Hold down B while walking go faster.
Bit 4 passwords enabled Opens a cutscene viewer. It works in the same way as the pachinko table tester above: use A and B to choose a cutscene, C to play it, and Start to go back to the password screen. When a cutscene is finished (or if you press Start during one), you will be taken back to the viewer screen.
Bit 5 passwords enabled Its password text translates to "see maps". Unfortunately, however, this password's code has been removed completely; regardless of whether bit 5 passwords are enabled, all that's ever executed is a return instruction:

もーどーにいーーーーーーーーーーーーー Bit 5 passwords enabled "Mode 2" Unlocks the second town.

Bit 5 passwords enabled "Mode 4" Unlocks up to the fourth town.
Bit 4 passwords enabled "All parlors" Unlocks every town.
Bit 4 passwords enabled "Boss floor" Automatically start the game on the boss floor.
Bit 5 passwords enabled Displays a number next to the knob which indicates how much this one is turned to the right.
Bit 4 passwords enabled. Opens a sound test. It works the same as the pachinko table test and cutscene viewer above.
None Enables bit 4 passwords, disables bit 5 passwords, and plays a sound effect confirming the effect.
Bit 4 passwords enabled Disables bit 4 passwords, enables bit 5 passwords, clears bits 6 and 7 of byte $FF9501, and plays a sound effect confirming the effect.
Hmmm...
To do:
What do these two other bits do?
Bit 5 passwords enabled "Pachinko with just board surface" Removes nails and main features from the machine display. Still plays the same.
Bit 5 passwords enabled "Pachinko with just nail surface" Removes background and external artworks from the machine display. Still plays the same

Dummied-Out Cheat Code?

Elementary, my dear Cactus.
This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.

Hold Up + Right + A + C + Start on boot. If done correctly, a sound effect should play during the Sega logo. Unfortunately, this appears to be the only effect of the cheat code; if anything else was there, it may still be hidden. Alternately, it could be the only remnant.

After beating the game, press Up + Left + A + C + Start during the credits to display the I.S.C. logo. For the record, they're still in business and primarily specialize in pachinko games for home computers, appropriately enough.
