EGM Issue 45 (April 1993)
This preview from issue 45 of Electronic Gaming Monthly depicts Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia fighting in a background not present in the final version. Since this was EGM's April 45 issue, the image could be have been used as part of an April Fools' joke. There is also an error in the caption, as Robert is kicking Ryo, not Ryuhaku Todo.

In a preview shown in issue 52 of Electronic Gaming Monthly, Jack Turner's post-defeat screen has him telling about "China Town" referring to Lee Pai Long's stage much like the Neo Geo version. In the final version of the SNES port, the China Town references were changed to "Lee's Town" due to censorship.
