Konami Promotional Video

A Japanese promotional video shows not only the game playing with cutscenes in Japanese, but a planned price and release date for the game. It was scheduled to release in Japan for December 11th 1992, which should more or less coincide with the North American release.

Lost Driving Stage

There is a screenshot of the missing driving level. Most likely, it would be the first level, since the intro cutscene ends with a bat-signal and a bat-mobile. However, the level starts with a walking session instead. There are unused sprites of the alternate version of the bat-signal inside the CHR ROM, shown in this level background's...

On the left of the second page you can see another screenshot of the lost driving stage. However, the Batmobile is shooting the discs from the final version and not the rockets seen in the above ad.
