It is known that Development for this game begun when NK was in favor of scrapping new updates in BSM2 Flash, such as the 5th stage, and other new updates. Around this time the game was circulating development sometime in 2014 to January of 2016. It was started as a port and it was showcased at GDC on March 15, 2016. However the idea of creating a port of this said game was apparently scrapped, and it switched from 2D to 3D.
