Hmmm...
To do:
  • Add more recent trailers which are available on YT.

TGS 2005

Likely the oldest prerelease material currently existing. There's a lot to say about it:

  • The song Check one is an exclusive song by qp which was never in the final release and can be listened here.
  • The title logo is reminescent of Lumines, as they have the same font.
  • The aircraft uses the same design from the old Every Extend.
  • Quickens are represented as ring sections instead of arrows. The Max Chain counter is also inside that ring.
  • The Max Chain has also a secondary ring with 10 sections that display how many enemies have been defeated with such explosion.
  • The full version of SELECT plays during the trailer. In the final game, only two samples of it are left unused in the game files.
  • The sound charge.wav is actually used when the aircraft is charging the explosion.
  • The deploy animation of the aircraft is barebones as it doesn't look like it came out from the screen.
  • The soundset used here is unique as not only it is the unused SON1, but even an early version of it with sounds that didn't made to the final cut. (Boss shooting, Aircraft deploy and Enemy combo)
  • Walls are represented as reticules instead of lines.
  • Players can choose 4 stages in the game: Space Chamber (Boss Rush stage), Extra Tube (Demo and Tutorial stage) and two unique stages that didn't made to the final cut: A tubular space station orbiting around Earth and a pitch-black dimension with symmetric thin lines.
  • Text for getting Quicken, bonus points and such slides onto the center instead of the bottom.
  • The indicator for how large the explosion will be was supposed to be represented with a gauge at the bottom og the screen (2hich sometimes it isn't shown). In the final game, it is represented as a glare in the aircraft.
  • The "-5 sec" is accompanied with a "Penalty" text which is absent in the final release.
  • There are 3 unused bosses shonw in the "Boss Batlle" section of the video and only one is used in the final version (top-right corner, for the Heavy mode Original when getting less than 8 quickens). All of the unused ones are essentialy clones that share characteristics with the Light mode Original's boss.
  • The trailer says that the game will get released in January 2006. But its first release will only resurge in August.
