Over the Hedge began development in late 2005. It was released in America, May 2006 and in Europe, June 2006.
This is a trailer for the game that was included in Shrek SuperSlam. It has some very interesting differences.
- 2 hit text is visible. It looks like combos were going to be part of the game at one point.
- A steak health pick up is present at 0:16. This was probably a placeholder for the pizza health pick up in the final game.
- Coins are also present after defeating enemies.
- Some parts of levels seen in the trailer are not in the final game.
- The remote control car mini game HUD was very basic at 0:48.
- The HUD was completely different at 0:54.
