This page details pre-release information and/or media for The Fancy Pants Adventures: World 1.

In 2008, Brad Borne made a video showing the history of Fancy Pants, which included footage of multiple prototype builds of the first game. Although some of these builds are publicly available (see here), several are not.

Unreleased Builds

Not meant to be a game, but an animation.

The earliest builds use a part of this animation for getting up:

FPA1 OldGetUp.gif

Earlier version of FPA no hair

This earlier version is at 60 fps, despite every other build being at 30 fps. This earlier version has broken physics and a very early version of Fancy Pants Man who gets stuck in mid-air if he runs and falls off a platform. This is one of the last builds to use Macromedia Flash 7.

Unknown build name, probably the first to contain hair on Fancy Pants Man

This build is the earliest build that has FPM with hair and the first to have a version of Level 2. It's mostly lineart and is the last build to use the first lean animation. It is also the first confirmed build to use Flash 8.

Earlier version of Level 1

As shown in the image that's not here right now, Level 1 has a lot of differences from its final counterpart. For one, it's based on the FPA no hair version of Level 1 and it's also connected to the transition room. This level is barely functional as it doesn't contain springs yet, probably meant for either FPM to defy gravity and run on walls or Brad just removed it.

Unused Mouse sprites

Ripped from the title build, the mouse was mostly unfinished with it's shooting sprite not being fully drawn yet and the scribble not existing yet.

Angry Penguin concept art

Only available from a random file on mega.nz, this Angry Penguin concept art is very scarce and if someone manages to find it, the images will be on the bottom of this section.
