There appears to be an alarm clock on Bart's desk instead of the desk fan that blows the pages out the window in the final game. This may be related to the below.

The Z-system is seemingly absent, with a pair of clocks in its place. Given that the clocks are only present in shots of Windy World, this may suggest that you had a fixed amount of time to find a page to access a minigame.

The viruses in the bloodstream level appear cross-eyed, unlike in the final.

Early TSBN 2a.png

A scene that is nowhere to be found in the final. It appears to be a garage, as evidenced by the basketball net. Scratchy's presence and his wielding a flamethrower (which he does in the final) hint at this being a scrapped part of the Yellow Door minigame.

Issue #36 provides some early screenshots of the game, and mentions what could be other early features:

  • The magazine states that this build is 60% complete.
  • It's oddly listed as part of the sports genre.
  • The release date is listed as June (1992). The game would end up being released in October.
  • The top two screenshots show the clocks as before.
  • The second blurb mentions a "toxic lake" (seemingly misinterpreting the bloodstream level) and a "spy/action sequence" (possibly referring to the Indiana Bart level, which in the final game only has you jumping from block to block while dodging fire and enemies).
  • The lower-left shot shows Indiana Bart wearing an outfit that more closely resembles Indiana Jones' excursion outfit.
