This is a sub-page of Proto:Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Hmmm...
To do:
  • Find a version of the Pre-Alpha Origins intro with the audio intact.

A prototype of Black Ops II Zombies from June 2013 that contains early versions of the maps "Buried" and "Origins".

Origins Differences

  • The map is known as "Le Tombeau" (meaning "The Tomb" in French) in the menu, and uses Nacht der Untoten's menu image as a placeholder.
  • The cutscene that plays before loading into Origins is very unfinished compared to the final version and uses the "Ultimis" cast of characters as placeholders.
  • Mob of the Dead characters are used as placeholders in-game for the "Primis" cast.
  • Many models use placeholder textures, including the Elemental Staffs.
  • The church is instead a whole village area. The village can be seen in concept art for Origins.
  • The giant robots walking around the map use placeholder textures and a different, much less menacing design compared to the final's robots.
  • The planes flying overhead are louder.

Buried Differences

  • The map at this point in development was still in the blockout phase, with the underground terrain being significantly more boxy than the final.
