Text

  • All credits files (located in Data/frontend) and all .lng with Whole in name (European localization files) are have some changes.

Shaders

  • Demo contains another version of Data/rally_shaders/shaders.big file. In demo existed additional shader Car_Int.xvu, and were used another versions of Car_Lights.xpu and WaterSimple.xvu.
  • Patched demo also contains other version of shaders.big, but this file differs only in header, and included shaders are the same. File from demo update mentions Peter Bratcher, when file from final game mentions Sam Brown.

Sound

  • Data/Sounds/car/chirp.big and Data/Sounds/car/focusx.big are different.
  • Contents of chirp.big:
Demo Final
  • Contents of focusx.big:
Demo Final
  • Also in this file demo contains sounds trb_gup0x.wav (where x=1-3) which replaced i final version with gearup0x.wav (where x=1-3).
Demo Final
  • Data/Sounds/crowds/cheers.wav is different in demo, but file can't be played.
  • Some sounds of Data/Sounds/general/Collide.big were changed:
Demo Final
  • Most contents of Sounds/Surface/Surface.big is changed to final game.
  • Data/Sounds/Weather/air.wav is just empty file in demo, when in final it's actually contains wind sound.

Versions Differences

  • Original Demo executable supported widescreen resolutions, but it just stretches image horizontally and looks unpleasant. Patched demo executable dropped this feature,
  • Original demo contained only three videos with higher quality. Patch brought lower quality counterparts of same files, so in settings of patched executable you can choose Movie Quality, which was absent in unpatched executable for obvious reason.
  • Lighthing looks a bit broken in original version.
