Just scratching the surface here.

As mentioned in the hidden message in the final game, F-18 Thunder Strike was meant to be released in October 1999 before being delayed for re-design. What is most likely the original version prior to the delay was found in the September 2020 Game Boy lot check leak.

Aside from the copyright year being 1999, the prototype has a credit for Pipe Dream Interactive, a company owned by Majesco which was going to publish the game. The final game was published by Majesco outright.
