Proto:Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach/PS4 Pre-Release Build

A prototype of the PS4 version of Security Breach was discovered by Twitter user N07Bednarz on February 15, 2022, with Twitter user mazOnTwt bringing it to full attention a few hours later.
Dated November 20, 2021, just two weeks before the game's release, this build doesn't have much in terms of massive differences, but there are some interesting finds.
In July 2022, this build was dumped online for everyone to dig through, leading to some interesting discoveries.
Contents
Differences
General
- Freddy occasionally lacks animations for speaking.
- Freddy has a slightly different idle animation.
- The graphics for the Photo Pass and Backstage Pass are different from the final game's.
- The lobby, and the Pizzaplex itself, is a lot darker overall than in the final game. Fog also seems to be present.
- Several lines that go unused in the final game, namely the Mop Bot's dialog, are used here.
- Some other lines that are used in the final, such as the Map Bot's dialog, do not play correctly or at all.
- The overall AI seems a lot rougher in some areas, particularly for the S.T.A.F.F. Bots.
- The design of the Faz-Watch map is different than the final game's.
- The animations for the S.T.A.F.F. Bots' jumpscares are different, and are even more unfinished than in the final game.
- Vanny will sometimes use her old idle animation.
Title Screen and Menus
- The title screen has some debug text at the bottom-left corner behind the menu, and "Work In Progress" can be seen at the bottom-center.
- The file-select menu is different.
- The DualShock 4's touchpad is called Gamepad Special Left in the controls menu, which is the internal input name for the touchpad in Unreal Engine 4.
Intro Sequence
- There is no Dread Unit dialog for the game's opening.
Collectable Locations
- A Nightmarionne plush was originally located in the Loading Docks before being moved to the Endo Warehouse, with a Spring Bonnie poster appearing in its old location in the final game.
Changed Textures
Photo Pass
The photo pass was replaced with a re-designed graphic.

Survival Mode
This needs some investigation. Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page. Specifically: This is still new info, so lots of stuff is still undiscovered. |
- Survival Mode works in this build! It has a proper intro (using two Freddy lines that cannot be heard unless you modify the game), and has Chica slamming on the doors and properly transitioning into the chase rather tossing you straight into it.
- The Jumpscare Plushies work in this build, playing a higher-pitched version of the jumpscare scream from the trailer, and not crashing when you get caught either!

Chica
A bunch of Chica voicelines named "CHICA_VALLEY", where she speaks like a "valley girl". In an interview that was conducted by Gamejolt on November 4, 2022, Steel Wool's co-founder and creative director Jason Topolski revealed that these voice lines were meant for a scrapped '80s mode, which was a joke feature that literally would've just changed Chica's voice and nothing else.[1]
