Proto:Gubble Buggy Racer/Oct 25, 1999 Build

Dated around 3 month before the final game, this build has most of the Wallace and Gromit assets scrubbed (though there are still some lurking in the files), and is simply called "Gubble Racing". It's noticabely more barebones than the other one, as it only features one track and no options menu.

General Differences

The Options menu was removed.

• The mirror in the top left was removed.
• The weird-looking Data Design Interactive logo on the bottom left was replaced with anoter variation.
• Gubble's antenna and ear graphics are lacking transparency.

Unused Graphics

Three minimap graphics. The first one somewhat resembles the layout of the track in the prototype.

A Gubble coin drawn over in 6 different colors. These might be placeholder icons for the other "characters", who are simply recolors of Gubble.

An early version of the speedometer, with the placement counter attached to it. In the final game, it was moved to the minimap.
