This is a sub-page of Proto:Rayman 3 (Game Boy Advance).

All 3 builds are presented at E3 2002. Formerly pre-release.

Build 04 (April 18, 2002)

A E3 candidate that is, formerly a pre-release build as a candidate for E3.

E3 (Builds 04 to 06) Final
Rayman3GBA-E3Proto-Titlescreen.png Rayman3GBA-title.png
  • The title screen is no longer a placeholder anymore, and it is completely different from the final.
  • A main menu screen was added, but the player cannot pick any of the options other than "NEW GAME". The font used is the generic "Impact" font.
  • Rayman's sprites got more improved, and detailed.
  • Pressing Start will advance to the next level. This must be done to advance the game as well.
  • Sound effects are present.
  • Music is added, but it plays only in Boulder Brink 2.
  • Header is unchanged.
  • Exit signs were added.

Rayman3-E3candidate-proto-Monkeybarglitch.png

  • There is a bug in this build (Including the prealphas) that if you hang the monkey bars in the early version of Boulder Brink, and one of the monkey bars that you hang collapses and, do at the perfect timing, you will forever hang. It can be fixed by pressing Down to get off.

Build 05 (May 13, 2002)

A newer, later version of the E3 build, with a GameCube link option.

Rayman3-E3Proto-GameCubeLinkScreen.png

  • The GAMECUBE Link option can be selected, and brings you up with a screen with crudely drawn text, telling the player to connect the GBA to the GameCube controller port.
    • If you have mGBA, click on "Connect to Dolphin" if you have the Dolphin emulator, and click on "Connect". Make sure to have the "Local computer" option enabled. Not sure if it works.
  • The title screen's top row became slightly corrupted on the menus.
  • Three more levels were added, along with 1 level removed.
  • This is the first build to include music on every single screen of the game.
  • Header is unchanged.
  • Pressing Start will advance to the next level. This must be done to advance the game as well.

Build 06 (May 16, 2002)

A much newer version compared to the April 18, 2002 prototype

  • Header is unchanged.
  • Pressing Start will advance to the next level. This must be done to advance the game as well.
  • Lightning effect is added on Boulder Brink 1.
