Cut UI Elements
While most cut units or campaign units got removed, buttons remained for many of these. One interesting thing to note is that almost all the cut UI elements are monochromatic, while the ones intended to be used in the game were full color, indicating a shift in the development at this point.
Protoss
Dragoon
Originally the Protoss Dragoon was meant to make an appearance in Wings of Liberty as a campaign unit. Unfortunately this never came to be ad in the final release only the Stalker and Immortal remains. In Legacy of the Void, the Dragoon returned with a new model. However the original model seen here in the Wings of Liberty beta remains in the files.
Escort
The Corsair is a Dark Templar ship first featured in the Brood Wars expansion of the original game. Curiously in the final game, while it was absent, the re-recorded voicelines for the unit were present. It is also labelled as 'Escort' and not Corsair here, but the design perfectly matches the original unit.
Reaver
Ah the Reaver, a fan favorite! Many were sad to see the Reaver cut from the final game, and it didn't return until Legacy of the Void. However this Beta contains the icon for both the Reaver and the Scarab. It had previously been seen in pictures at the time.
Observatory
The Observatory was a building you had to construct in Brood War to unlock Observers and to upgrade them. This building has been completely cut in the final game. But the icon remains in this prototype.
Photon Cannon
Originally the Photon Cannon worked exactly like in Starcraft 1, where its 'telescope' would come out of the ground to fire. You could then upgrade it to become a Phase Cannon. The Phase Cannon main advantage was that it could turn into an energy state and relocate within the aura of a Pylon. Later they decided to scrap the idea, but they used the Phase Cannon model and renamed it to the Photon Cannon, thus scrapping the original model. The icon for the original unit survives here.
Warp Beacon
The Citadel of Adun was a building that unlocked a bunch of the tech tree, such as the Templar Archives, but also was used to research upgrades for Zealots. Curiously it is labelled as Warp Beacon here, so the model might simply be a placeholder. The intended function of the Warp Beacon is entirely unknown as it was cut.
Zerg
Swarm Host
This 'fatty' as the model is labelled in the final game, was the original look of the Infestor, originally known as the Swarm Host. Combining these icons and the leftover model in the final game would essentially give you the full set.
Swarm Guardian
The Swarm Guardian is a cut seemingly Zerg flying unit. Not much else is known about it, but it could have acted similar to the Guardian from the original game, which was a long range flying artillery unit.
Infested Queen
Originally the Queen was supposed to have three upgrade stages, where as you grew your hive cluster, the Queen would grow with it. The Infested Queen appears to have been the name for one of these stages. In addition to the icon, the model is also present.
Queen's Nest
The Queen's Nest was the building that allowed the production of Queens in the original game. However as the very nature of what a Queen is, and how a Queen functions changed, it is likely that the building was cancelled alongside the original Queen variant.
Creep Colony
In the first game, the Zerg would spread creep using Creep colonies which could transform into defensive structures. With the addition of Queens spreading creep tumor and new defensive structures, the Creep Colony became obsolete and was cut. The model for this Creep Colony was found in the Legacy of the Void files.
Spore Colony
The Creep Colony could be upgraded to the Spore Colony, which was an anti-air defense unit. With the addition of the Spore Crawler, it became superfluous was subsequently cut.
Sunken Colony
The Creep Colony could be upgraded to the Sunken Colony, which was a ground defense unit that would stab enemies with its tentacle. Sadly the Spine Crawler rendered it obsolete.
Terran
Valkyrie
The Terran Valkyrie was an UED anti-air frigate. The design of the icon indicates it would have looked substantially different from its original incarnation. Regardless, the Viking rendered it obsolete and it was cut.
Misc
Gate Open
A protoss ability, perhaps related to an earlier mechanic with the Gateways
Overpower
An unknown Protoss ability
Sight of Adun
An unknown Protoss ability, perhaps related to unveiling cloaked units.

An unknown Protoss ability. The figure in the icon somewhat resembles the Void Ray portrait.

Hacking
This is a Terran ability called hacking, perhaps some unit or hero could hack machines.
Lockdown
In Starcraft 1 Terran Ghosts were able to lock down other units, disabling them for a short amount of time. This ability was cut even by the time of the Beta, but the icon remains.
Lower
An unknown ability related to Terrans, perhaps an ability related to the mobile structures.
Nano Repair
This is an ability used by the Terran Science vessel in the final game's campaign. But the icon is completely different. In the final game it is an electrified Cross, while here it consists of three electrified wrenches.
Fungal Eruption
An unknown Zerg ability, it might have been used by one of the caster units.
Toxic Creep
An unknown Zerg ability, it might have been used in relation to turning enemy Zerg creep toxic.

Null Flux Generator
A cut Protoss Upgrade. It would later be used as a Colossus upgrade but with a different icon.
Apollo Reactor
A cut Terran Upgrade. In the first game it would increase the energy of Wraiths so they could sustain their cloak for longer periods of time.
Thor Shoulder Guns
A cut Terran Upgrade. It appeared that it would have enhanced Thors giving them the ability to fire their shoulder guns.
U238 Shells
A cut Terran Upgrade. In the first game this would have increased the range of the Marine's Gauss rifle.
Gravitic Thrusters
The Gravitic Thrusters were upgrades for the Protoss Scout in the first game that rendered it significantly faster. While the Scout was featured in Wings of Liberty, it did not have this upgrade and the icon was cut for the final game.
UI elements
Flesh Worm
An unknown UI element seemingly related to the Zerg.
Industrial Junk
An unknown UI element seemingly related to the Terrans.
Ion Cannon
A tiny icon resembling the Starcraft 1 Ion Cannon. In the first game the Ion Cannon was a building destroyed by Raynor when he and his Raiders escaped Tarsonis after Mengsk's betrayal of Kerrigan.
Light Array
An unknown UI element. Perhaps related to the Xel'naga towers in multiplayer?
Mantis Threat
An unknown UI element seemingly related to the Zerg.
Minerals
A cut Mineral icon
Radar

Tank Wrecked

Status Veterancy
Originally units were supposed to become stronger as they racked up kills. This was known as veterancy and was already cut by the time of the Beta.
