Proto:Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return/Standalone Demo (Japanese)

This is a sub-page of Proto:Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return.

A demo of the beginning of the game which exits after 10 minutes (even if you're in the middle of a cut-scene).

Demo Video

Instead of the regular intro, a different video plays when the game starts that includes some gameplay from this prototype version.

There are a few differences with the final version of the game:

• At 1:34 - when the mine cart arrives at Coal-Mining Town, we briefly see Tomba wearing purple pants (and the Bird Clothes). The purple pants were present in the predecessor (called the Jumping Pants), but in the final version of Tomba 2 we only have the Green Pants, Fast Pants (blue) and Turbo Pants (red).
• At 1:59 - apparently, you were supposed to collect seven coins during the trolley minigame. This might have been cut for difficulty reasons, as the trolley minigame is plenty difficult even without this.

Tomba's Voice

In this version, Tomba's voice seems to be recorded by a different voice actor. It sounds a bit lower, almost like he's a bit older.

To do: Rip the voice samples.

Music Reverb

The music sounds slightly different, one of the reasons being that the tracks have far less reverb than in the final version.

To do: Rip demo version of starting area music.
