Music Rips
One of the Todo things on this page is "Get clean music rips from the demo...somehow.", kapteeni13 has uploaded the music from the Demo, Final & Exoddus without any background noise at all to their OneDrive (links in the video descriptions of the below Youtube links). So there's our clean rips, but the demo still needs some tracks comparing. I can't hear a difference in the RuptureFarms main music, but the Slig music is completely different.

Abe's Oddysee Prototype
Two points: firstly, the article mentions two demos, the one with the RutureFarms logo (which is the one I played, both originally, as it came on the black "Demo One" disk distributed with European consoles in 1997, and is also widely available on various sites -- which for legal reasons I'll not mention here) and the Underground one. Is the Underground demo much different from this earlier demo? Be interesting to know if it had things changed from the earlier demo but still not in the final.
Second: are there any prototypes for Abe's Exoddus, which could merit a similar article, or not enough differences? I know from videos on YouTube that Sligs originally had a "Stay!" command (presumably for Slog control) and also their BS and S'mo BS lines were originally dropped; Glukkons had some different lines, and originally Paramites only had three speech commands, not the final six. Also, all Flying Sligs originally had wings, not a helicopter, which was added later as the wings didn't animate well in a small sprite. Beyond this though does anyone else know if there is any other differences, enough to warrant a beta article? Dftf (talk) 06:51, 23 October 2017 (EDT)
Unused Scrab Animation
While the unused scrab animation does exhibit a cut behavior, I don't think it's intended *for* jumping up at Abe, but as the name suggests, One of the meat sacks that appear only in paramonia.
My guess is it was removed for either; Uniqueness, the devs probably wanted the meat to be a paramonia exclusive puzzle element, or the fact that it was quite redundant, if a scrab was jumping up at a meat sack, it wouldn't have any focus on Abe, unless they changed focus once you got on the same level with them, then there's really no point.
That being said, it could very well have been used for both jumping up at Abe, or jumping up at a meat sack. Fatticusbatticus (talk) 21:28, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
