Unused Animations
Unused Combat Animations
These are unused animations for Sonic's combat skills. The animations themselves aren't inside Sonic's .asm file, so it is speculated that these are leftover animations from an older combat system. These animations also look extremely similar to some of the combo animations used for the Phantom Rush ability.

An unused tornado-kick attack that looks similar to the Cyclone Kick.

An unused dropkick animation. Notably, it looks extremely similar to the Phantom Rush combo finisher.

A quick cyloop combo attack animation. This animation is mostly similar to how it looks in the final version. However, the Quick Cyloop itself uses a different animation instead of reusing the Air Boost.

Unused "Bad Catch" Animation
This is an unused animation for the fishing minigame, and would presumbly be used when you catch less favourable items. (like cans)

This animation would be used when Drop Dashing, Sliding, or Spin Dashing into the enemy. But, there is no way to activate this animation normally, as Wolf doesn't enough enough HP for you to see it.

Unused Power Boost Awakening Animation
An animation that plays once activating the Power Boost. In the final game, this is replaced with the a rendered cutscene of Sonic charging up in a way similar to the climax of the Sonic the Hedgehog movie.
