The MSX2 Starship Rendezvous is a port of the original PC-88 game, but with noticeably worse graphics that look shrunk-down from the original and don't take advantage of the MSX2's high-resolution mode. They didn't even spell "Rendezvous" correctly in the logo!

Probably more noteworthy at this point for being the only MSX game that Hitoshi Sakamoto and Masaharu Iwata worked on and did the music and sound design for.

Music Mode

Insert "Bill & Ted" guitar riff here.

Press F2 during the intro. Once in the sound test, press Space to advance to the next track.

The counter at the bottom is actually the running time of the current song in seconds.

Special Stage - Alternate Picture

StarShipRendezvous MSX2+ Special Stage Michelle Title Card.png

Booting directly into Disk 2 will load a special stage with a digitized picture of a woman. However, if the disk is swapped for Disk 1 during the title card, the game will proceed to load the boss stage from the first area of the main game instead, with a picture of Bianca McLean, the first boss.

All pictures were taken in MSX2+ mode.
