Unused sprite data
A while ago, I was looking at the datafiles of the game, and managed to figure out how to open them and use the correct palette files. As it is known, the game has nearly all of it's data copied from older Castlevania games, mostly from the DS ones. I have been looking into the data, and found out some interesting sprites.
Here are some examples of unused enemies in the data folders:
Yeti and Alura Une, originally from Dawn of Sorrow.
Maneater from Order of Ecclesia. Interestingly, this enemy is duplicated in both "enemy" and "boss" folders, using the same sprites.
There are also two Deaths, from Ecclesia and Portrait. The one from Ecclesia is used in game.
Another interesting sprite is Dracula's final form (DRA3), which has sprites of Malphas, Slogra, Gaibon, Mummy, Medusa, Cerberus and Werewolf, all having only one, pre-built frame loaded in the game. These seem like Dracula might have used their souls as attacks, flashing the enemy quickly before attacking.
Also, the effects of this game have some unused glyphs, seal orbs from Dawn of Sorrow, plenty of unused text (Like "Level up", you can't level up in the game) which the developers don't have seemed to be bothered to remove from the game.
Is it worth it to list all this info on the main Harmony of Despair page as most of the data is from older games? There are quite a lot of data, and even I'm not sure of everything that might be used/unused. Also, the files like the examples I showed are in rather hard piece together, so is it fine to upload 128x128 data pieces like this, or should they be pieced together first?

- In SOTN Dracula squashes various enemies and then absorbs their blood. That's probably why there's some enemy sprites in the Dracula final form data.--DarkScimitar (talk) 21:48, 16 April 2015 (EDT)
- That explains it then. I have never let Dracula live long enough for him to do anything interesting in SOTN, and the attack is unused in Harmony of Despair. I'll have to check video or play the final boss myself at some point on SOTN. Anyhow, this is not too surprising, the sprites are probably directly copied from SOTN. Many sprites have unused data like this from the older games. --John4300 (talk) 22:07, 16 April 2015 (EDT)
