Sound driver curiosities

Believe it or not, this game appears to share a huge chunk of sound player code with Atlus' Revelations: The Demon Slayer (a.k.a. Last Bible). Search for the byte sequence CB 37 6F FE 40 38 07 D6 to find it. There are occasional bytes here and there that differ between the two games (as one would expect), but most of this segment of code is completely identical.

Yeah, given how infamous this Lemmings port's music is, and how great Last Bible's soundtrack is in comparison, I couldn't believe it either.

The same sound driver, incidentally, also seems to be used in a game titled Hello Kitty no Happy House, which seems to be some kind of social networking thing that uses the Japan-only GB mobile adapter. That game's music sounds much closer to Lemmings than it does to Last Bible.

Further findings: Last Bible isn't the only Atlus game to use this driver; Cosmo Tank, Kwirk, and Spud's Adventure share the same code as well. All of the latter games credit Tsukasa Masuko for audio. Amazing Tater also uses the same driver, but I'm not sure who did the music for that one. --CodeMan38 (talk) 23:04, 6 November 2016 (EST)
