Elder Tatara

So in playing around with the game, I've found a few interesting bits about Tatara (Note, this will contain some mild spoilers). When he joins you to go to the Rain Tree north of Niso Forest, the player usually goes straight there. However, if you choose to spare his life for a bit and don't go immediately there, he has a few interesting things about him.

1. While walking around on the overworld and in dungeons (Through use of walk through walls to skip the Rain Tree), there are no random encounters. None. At all. Zero. The only encounters you will have are scripted ones (Like the trap in Kajura's Castle near the first key or Kajura himself).

2. Tatara has a complete battle AI, including a list of spells and whatnot that he can use. Other than corrupt battle sprites, he fights normally and with no issues.

After checking through a walkthrough to see anything more about him, it seems that he doesn't join you in the game at any point in time besides heading to the Rain Tree (And because battles are disabled, you can't fight with him [As stated above because of corrupt battle sprites, and possibly for other reasons]), so perhaps did Tatara have a larger role in the story at one time as to give him a complete set of spells and a competent AI, or is it all for show because of the fact that he comes with you and the programmers decided to give him a set of spells in case the player decides to take a peek? --Team Fail (talk) 22:28, 20 May 2015 (EDT)
