Version Differences

The NG version does not have the CG of the Komachi event.

"SAMURAI SPIRITS RPG" in the NG version, "SAMURAI SPIRITS ROLE PLAYING" in the PS/SS version GAME”

In the OP demo, the enemy parts differ between the NG version and the PS/SS version. (The NG version only has one row in the center, and the PS/SS version has three rows, but the character and background variations are the same))

NG version - Lizardman (right, Hokkaido), White Cross Knight (right, seaside), Mekira (middle, golden bridge), Chikaku Onijuin (left, plains), Zanmadan Kaze (left, downtown), Mukuro Musha (Central/Hokkaido), Zanmadan/Kaze (left/Golden Bridge)

PS/SS version - Lizardman (right, plain) / Zanmadan Kaze (left, in the city) / Mekira (middle, seaside), Zanmadan Kaze (left, in the city) / Mukuro Musha (middle, Hokkaido) / White Cross Knight (right, Golden Bridge), Chikaku Oniji (left, Hokkaido) / Lizardman (right, seaside)) / White Cross Knight (middle, plains), Lizardman (right, seaside) / Mekira (middle, plains) / Mukurusha (middle, Golden Bridge), Mekira (middle, Hokkaido) / White Cross Knight (right, Golden Bridge) / Zanmadan Kaze (left, downtown), Zanmadan Kaze (left, plains) / Lizardman ( Right, downtown) / Onizuin Chikaku (left, seaside), White Cross Knight (right, Hokkaido) / Skeleton Warrior (middle, seaside) / Mekira (middle, Golden Bridge)

The graphics of some characters in the OP demo are slightly different between the PS/SS version and the NG version (basically, the PS/SS version is slightly longer vertically).

Ukyo - Almost everything except the back hair (the face is almost a different person)

Galford - Part of the bangs/Shoulder rest (It seems that the string that secures the shoulder rest was mistakenly painted as a round pouch, so the coloring method has also been changed)

Genjuro - Right shoulder (arm seems to be lowered before correction), line drawing correction

Nakoruru - General coloring, face balance correction, smaller pupils, major corrections to line drawings

(*According to the Neo Geo Freak article, the PS/SS version may have the same graphics as originally created, and the NG version may have been modified later.)

The NG version does not have 2P color.

The NG version basically has large graphics.

Colors of display parts such as characters are NG-green, PS-blue (transparent), SS-purple.

Only in the SS version, when selecting the main character, the face of the character you are not hovering over is transparent. NG/PS version is sepia.

The selection cursor in the NG version when deciding on the main character is a simple triangular cursor. The PS/SS version has various icons for each character.

In the NG version, the party in the save file when loading is a mini character when dashing. Once decided, pose.

In the NG version, you can pause anywhere other than the loading screen.

The songs played may differ between the NG version and the PS/SS version.

Although unconfirmed, the amount of voices must have differed depending on the model.

The volume of the NG version is low for some reason...

There's really no way to compare the stories, but some differences in the text in some minor details. there seem to be

In the NG version, depending on the protagonist, there are some characters that cannot be made friends, and those characters are not in the bar.

I think it's understandable that Galford can't have Kyoshiro as a friend...(Kyoshiro hates dogs).

Only in the PS/SS version, Genjuro can carry around a frog.

NG version (Kanmaru solo trip) - A mini-adventure in which Kanmaru searches for demons (?) in the town of Kyoto.

There are many new graphics and many interesting elements.

PS version (mini episode collection) - Mini drama of sub characters.

A side story that can be advanced with mini characters. There are rare branches.

SS version (Japanese talk show) - A talk that proceeds in a Q&A format.

I can understand various behind-the-scenes stories, but compared to others, it's a bit light.

The mobile mini-characters in the PS/SS version are too small. The NG version is about the same as the one in town.

The objects in the NG version and PS/SS version are different.

The NG version has objects that allow you to read and examine the signboards.

In the NG version, the inside of the building is strangely small.

When the character is standing still, there is movement in the PS/SS version, but in the NG version, it is stationary.

The NG version occasionally loads when entering a building.

The PS/SS version can be changed to 2P color.

Is the NG version of the Nakaya event a bit age-restricted? (Although it's pitch dark)

In the PS/SS version, there is a dark handprint.

In the NG version, Mamahaha and Puppy are displayed even in the dungeon.

The NG version and the PS/SS version have different parts that cannot be passed due to obstacles, and may or may not be passable.

The way the torii gates of Jigoku Shrine are connected is also slightly different.

The NG version has damage points on the thorns and elaborate objects such as torches.

In the NG version, there is a demon road 0 that leads directly to Mizuki from the Underworld Gate.

Is it only in the NG version that Kuroko explains about the Underworld Gate?

The color of the fountain at the Underworld Gate in the PS/SS version differs depending on the destination. The NG version is all green.

In the NG version, you can hear the sound of the wind when crossing a fishing bridge.

The location of the treasure chest is slightly different between the NG version and the PS/SS version.

The NG version has a lot of equipment, but the PS/SS version has a lot of tools.

In the PS/SS version, there is a red and black character that recovers status.

The NG version has different graphics depending on whether it is in attack or standby mode. If you select defense, it will wait in a guard pose.

In addition, there are many enemy graphic patterns.

The wait timer is easier to understand in the PS/SS version.

There are many NG versions of the voices for techniques, etc. In the SS version, the voice tends to lag behind the movements.

The PS/SS version has fewer enemy party patterns.

NG versions include ``I haven't noticed yet (first attack for 1 turn) and ``I've been surrounded! (second attack for 1 turn).

When you are surrounded, the graphics will be flipped left and right (to the so-called 2P side), and the fighting command input will also be reversed.

In the NG version, if there is no action for a certain period of time during a turn, the turn will end.

The NG version has one type of normal attack, and the PS/SS version has a selection of small/medium/large attacks.

In the PS/SS version, the effects change depending on the formation. There is no change in the NG version.

Defense/avoidance/counterattack is random in PS/SS version, lever/button input in NG version.

Since counterattacks can be performed at will, Genjuro can effectively attack as much as Genjuro's attack + the number of enemies in one turn.

In the NG version, spittle fights rarely occur.

The NG version can store anger, but once you use the anger secret, the anger ends.

In the NG version, your status will be fully restored when you level up.

The rank notation for each level is different between the NG version and the PS/SS version. (See below) Also, the initial level is different.

There is a huge difference in the presence or absence of attributes in the NG version.

In the PS/SS version, each weapon has an attribute in its initial state, but in the NG version, it has "none".

In the NG version, Jubei of Yagyu Dojo and Kawaki of Kokain do not fight directly (battles with several small fry characters). Training is quite easy.

In the NG version, the loading time for the first encounter in each area is a little long, but battles begin smoothly in subsequent encounters.

In the PS/SS version, there is a loading wait for each battle.

Some enemy graphics and names are different between the NG version and the PS/SS version.

In the NG version, Aun-go separates for some reason during battle, so you have to fight two of them.

Some techniques have the same name but have different effects. (Example: Hatamoto collapse "Moroha Gaeshi"...NG version - counterattack standby, PS/SS version - defense power up)

In the NG version, you often get items at the end of the battle.

In the NG version, the battle against Ambrosia ends when you defeat the main character, and in the PS/SS version, you have to defeat the berserk and others separately.

The NG version has a grand ending when you clear two chapters, and the PS/SS version has a grand ending after each.

In the NG version, the following text is displayed before the grand ending.

I put down the blade in my hand,

Let's just rest our minds now.

In the peace I've found for myself

A new journey

Until the day I tempt the soul of a samurai.

The graphics are slightly different between the NG version and the PS/SS version.

In the scene where the main characters are displayed in order, Chum Chum and Galford are displayed in reverse.

in the NG version If you defeat Mizuki using Demon Highway 0 , the game will end after a simple ED scene. (Treats game over)
