A game where Masyanya/Moxxie applies for a job in your typical tabloid.

Interestingly enough, the game is based on a Russian satirical animated webseries, and Oleg Kuvaev himself has been also involved with the game (not counting the English localization).

Unused Graphics

JollyGangStargaze.png

Alawar Stargaze's logo of the time. It was probably meant to appear in the game credits, but it doesn't appear whatsoever.

Ironically, in the English version, the logo was actually updated.

Unused Text File

Present in the general folder (in the Russian version) is placeholder.txt, a file with no text at all. Removing it does nothing to the game.

Unused Windows

Present in the executable are 3 windows that are seemingly leftovers from when the game was in its development stage: one is labelled as the "Object Script Window" and the other two are labelled as "Script Window".

Regional Differences

The oval is brighter in the Russian version, and Masyanya/Moxxie is larger.

Aside from the obvious differences like different voices and a different language, the things in the comics before some levels such as the tabloid's name were localized in the English version as well.

"Давай уже на "Старт" нажимай, жми на "Старт", жми, жми, жми, давай-давай!" (Come on already, press "Start", press "Start", press it, press it, press it, come on!)

button_play_over_.ogg is a sound file which contains a voice clip which is played in the Russian version when the "Play" button is hovered by the cursor. In the English version, it's left unused in the sounds folder, even though it doesn't play at all.

Unused Code

Present in branch is branch.xml which contains code for the logos that show up before the game starts. Even though the game itself only shows up one logo (two in the English version), the XML file has code for 5 logos:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<Data>
	<Resources>
		<image id="logo1" file="branch\logo1.jpg" />
		<image id="logo2" file="branch\logo2.jpg" />
		<image id="logo3" file="branch\logo3.jpg" />
		<image id="logo4" file="branch\logo4.jpg" />
		<image id="logo5" file="branch\logo5.jpg" />
	</Resources>

	<Branch id="loading">
		<Splash image="logo1" time="4000" show_time="1000" />
		<Splash image="logo2" time="4000" show_time="1000" />
		<Splash image="logo3" time="4000" show_time="1000" />
		<Splash image="logo4" time="4000" show_time="1000" />
		<Splash image="logo5" time="4000" show_time="1000" />

	</Branch>

</Data>

Possible Early English Name

In game.xml in the "product" field (which usually contains the name of the product), the game is mentioned as "Masyanas Tabloid Adventures".
