Born September 16th, 1994 at Elliot Lake General Hospital in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada, -R (Dasher) The Viral (Real name: Brandon Michael Joseph McGrath), is a male currently residing in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. He is an independent Electronic Music Producer using Image Line Software's "FL Studio" to create his music. He releases all of his music on his Soundcloud page Most of his tracks are instrumental in nature, however, there are a few of his songs which do contain his singing, (Antidote, Solace, I Know It Hurts) and a few of his songs not containing lyrics, he has claimed will have them sooner or later. -R (Dasher) The Viral also has a YouTube Channel, which is, according to -R, "A channel focused on music and gaming"{2} His channel mostly contains Let's Plays with himself and his friends (G0ATFAC3, Neojock & Demonrise), along with his music.
The "Hem592/-R (Dasher) The Viral" controversy
-R (Dasher) The Viral used to be known as "Hem592" prior to his current username "-R (Dasher) The Viral". However, this username, according to -R, "turned out to be hard to remember and quite difficult to use on many websites." He has stated that his current username is a combination of two usernames, due to people constantly calling him "R" instead of "DashR". This explains why the "Dasher" part of the username is in brackets, it implies that the "-R" is actually pronounced "Dasher" and that it is actually supposed to be "-R The Viral" as is found on his Soundcloud page.
