Main Story
Hero on Patrol
An early version of the intro cinematic, which was meant to be a catchup of Stick of Truth. This includes several early storyboards as animatics, along with no audio featured.
Origins
An early version of the opening cutscene. A sketch of Kyle is pasted over Stan at the end.
An early version of the cutscene where you join Coon and Friends. Quite a lot of differeneces can be seen hereː
- Tupperware was originally with Coon and Friends. In the final game, he's with the Freedom Pals.
- It seems like the only way to start the cutscene is by interacting with the Cube of Ultimate Destruction. In the final game, you have to give the coon the Stafernisy Device.
- Ms. Cartman's voice uses a placeholder.
- Interestingly, a completely cut feature makes an appearance here; besides selecting a Class, you could also choose what kind of superhero you wanted to be. The options includeː Alien, Altered Human, High Tech Wonder, Mutant or Robot. It's unknown what this feature was going to be used for.
- The Class selection screen shows off a TON of differencesː
- You could chose between 7 classes. In the final game that number was reduced to 3ː Speedster, Blaster and Brutalist.
- The Brutalist class was called "Super Strong Hero", most likely a placeholder.
- The removed Mystic class makes an appearance.
An early version of the 2nd class selection, which features the unused Mystic class.
The continuation of the afformentioned cutscene. Interestingly, some snippets of an early version of the backstory comic can be seen near the end.
The final part of the cutscenes. Everything is the same as the final game.
Mosquito in a Honey Pot
Unused Coon Call for the mission, which hints that Mosquito was supposed to be at the bar and not at a table in Raisins.
An earlier version of the afformentioned video, with different dialogue.
Now You're Cooking
An unused PiP where The Coon tells you to head back to the Coon Lair, because Mosquito had already bought a taco for him.
Bowels Of The Beast
A second-long test cutscene for the beginning of the chapter Bowels Of The Beast.
An early cutscene that takes place after reviving Captain Diabetes with the Timefart.
An early version of the cutscene where Randy beats up Captain Diabetes.
Microaggression Academy
Includes different music and New Kid is in the temporary animation design.
The Hundred Hands Of Chaos
A storyboard version of the cutscene where the meth lab blows up in U-Store-It.
Operation: Just 'Cause
An early version of the cutscene where Murphy tells you to go to the Police Station. Weirdly, the New Kid is seen standing in front of an unknown character's house.
The Talk 2: The Gendering
Includes graffiti not present on the school and the rednecks were already parked outside waiting for the New Kid.
The Chaos Gambit
An early version of the cutscene that's seen before you are sent off to the Freedom Pals base. What's interesting is that Toolshed can be seen in The Coon lair. In the final game, he's with the Freedom Pals.
Storyboard version of the cutscene where you go into the Freedom Pals HQ.
The Invitation
An early version of the PiP where Mitch Conner tells you to go to SodoSopa. Interestingly, the dialog is completely different.
The Thin White Line
Perhaps one of the most interesting cutscenes. It shows an early line-up of the 2 teams. Toolshed and Professor Chaos were originally supposed to be in Coon And Friends. Mosquito, Human Kite and Super Craig were originally concidered to be in Freedom Pals.
The same cutscene can be found, but from a side view.
Day 4
Two videos that were meant to appear in a different version of the 4th day's news cutscene. The Channel 4 News video was going to appear in the beginning of the cutscene, while the video of Mitch Conner speaking was going to appear in an unused shot of the New Kid looking at the TV.
The Many Asses of Dr. Mephesto
A video of a badger scrathing at a window that was meant to appear in the room where you fight the Mutant Sixth Graders for the first time.
An unused PiP where Mephesto tells the player to go to the next room to check out what's causing the power stall.
To Chase a Coon
Interestingly, camel/baked/assets/videos/missions/mm34 contains a whole list of early PiPs for the mission. These PiPs reveal an early version of the story.
Early | Final (Unused) |
---|---|
Interestingly, the 3rd PiP actually has a finalized version.
Interestingly, there's a line for Conner where he saysː "There, take a selfie thereǃ", which wasn't animated in the video. He would've likely said this after his first line.
Farts of Future Past
Early versions of the cutscenes before and after the Woodland Critters fight. It features a ton of differencesː
- Mysterion talks about Mitch Conner sending them forward in time. In the final game, the time travel is the New Kid's fault, not Conner's.
- The only finished animation in the first cutscene is that of 2 people wanting to fight the New Kid after realizing he caused everything to happen, which is interrupted by the Woodland Critters blowing their heads up. A similar thing happens with Mr. Mackey in the final version.
- The second cutscene features Santa beating up a bunch of drunk people, after which he looks at the boys angrily. According to leftovers in the files, he was going to be fought. In the final game, he helps you defeat the Woodland Critters.
- The third cutscene is mostly animated, except for the end. The biggest difference here is Toolshed, who has what appears to be a drill on his back. According to early concept art, doing favors for certain characters (most likely the cut "loyalty" missions) would level them up and unlock new abilities.
Toolshed shouting "Our Saviorǃ", obviously meant for the cutscene where you pray to Christ during the Woodland Critters fight. Strangely, Kyle also has the exact same voiceline.
An unused PiP of Fastpass at the City Square, where the inaguration takes place, most likely telling you to go there. Interestingly, the cutscene's file seems to mention a voiceline for Clyde.
An early version of the inaguration cutscene, which looks completely different from the final version. In this version, no one's drunk, background objects disappear or move between scenes, and most interestingly, Mr. Garrison and Clyde's mom Betsy Donovan can be seen in the crowd. Betsy Donovan died in the Season 12 episode "Reverse Cowgirl", while Mr. Garrison was president at the time of the game's development, which would explain his absence in the game.
An early version of the final battle's cutscene. The original plans for the final battle were completely differentː instead of fighting the two Mitch Conners, you would fight the cut character Wesley, alongside the leaders of the other factions. This idea would be reworked into the "To Chase a Coon" mission.
Hero on Patrol
Temporary credits taken from the Stick of Truth.
Side Missions
Touch the Sky
Alternative ending, which doesn't have any rednecks to fight.
Alternate Universes Collide (and Friends)
The cutscenes for the unused sm14 kyle mission 2 of 4 mission. The voicelines for the cutscenes have been removed from the files.
Token's Upgrade
The cutscenes for the unused sm34_token_loyalty mission. Once again, the voicelines have been removed from the files.
The PiP that appears when the mission starts.
Wham Bam Thank You Gram
The cutscenes for the unused sm31_stan_loyalty mission. Once again, the voicelines have been removed from the files.
Several PiPs for the mission.
Morning After Pill
The cutscenes for the unused sm72_stan_loyalty_pt2 mission. Once again, the voicelines have been removed from the files.
Recruit Kenny
The cutscenes for the unused sm64_recruit_kenny mission. Unlike the cutscenes for the other missions, these ones have voicelinesǃ
Several smoke effects, most likely meant for the Graveyard area.
(You Can) Call on Me
An incorrectly-sized PiP window.
Always Bet on Chaos
An early version of the mission's PiP, which appears to be shorter than the final version and is strangely overlaid on top of concept art.
Placeholders
A short placeholder video, presumably for cutscenes that weren't finished yet.
A placeholder cutscene. Not much more to say.
A placeholder video for PiPs.
binktest.bik, the only .bik file in the game, is a bizarre video of what appears to be a news report. What's even weirder is that the terrorist group mentioned in the video, the Final Liberation Front, doesn't seem to exist.
A test video of Professor Chaos talking. Interestingly, his eyebrows are grey instead of black.
Pre-Release Media
E3/Gamescom 2016
This was the background used for the demo at E3/Gamescom 2016.
This is the E3 2016 trailer leftover in the game files, though this contains a title card at the start and audio sync bleep at the end.
E3 2017
Captain Diabetes staring at the Peppermint Hippo's entrance, also an E3 leftover.

From Dusk till Casa Bonita
The cutscenes featured here are all clearly placeholders, from when the DLC was being worked on.
The main gate scene, which is rendered in-game, leaving the pre-rendered version unused.
Storyboard animation for the cutscene where you first discover the vampire relic.
Rough version of scene, which Mr. Adams explains to New Kid that they must collect the relics. An interesting thing to note is that in this version, the vampire relics are "blood keys", while in the final game they are medallions. The mission file for this DLC still mentions the medallions as blood keys.
Bring the Crunch
Lot of early translation tests and storyboards/rough animations were leaked before the release of the DLC.
A short animation for testing the combat system for the new gameplay additions. What's interesting about this cutscene is that ghosts are never fought in the final game. This cutscene suggests that once they were meant to be fought. It could also be a scrapped mechanic for the Burial Grounds fight.
Early storyboard animation introducing a scrapped Indian Burial Grounds gameplay mechanic, where the New Kid's farts would've been used as sort of ghost-repellant. This would be replaced with the fight between the people in monster costumes.
A storyboard cutscene introducing an unused saw room puzzle, which would've taken place next to Nathan's cabin. After the door got locked, the player would've had to find a key and save the two counselors. The room seems to be mostly complete, as it has its key, various animations and props left in the files. An item named "condescen milk" would have also been inside the room. Perhaps this is where the milk that Timmy requested was located originally?
Storyboard animation for the showering counselor. Seems here that it would've been an in-game moment, where the New Kid would've had to hide and could see the monsters adjusting their masks. (Plus it seems that the buddies weren't planned to be in the room.)
Main thing with these next cutscenes is that they're all mostly completely pre-rendered, while the final version uses a mixture of in-game and pre-rendered scenes.
This one seems to be mixture of near finalized animation and storyboard. (Would've taken place for when the search for the missing counselors started.)
Rough version of monster introduction trap scene, which includes New Kid's placeholder model.
Same as above, but takes place when the kids barricade themselves inside the cabin.
Rough animation of the New Kid unlocking the Final Girl class.
Rough version of the cutscene where the New Kid enters the Mess Hall.
Early version of the cutscene where the New Kid peeks into Nathan's cabin. The main difference here is that the whole cutscene is seen from a side angle. The final game's cutscene includes different views.
Rough version of the cutscene, where the New Kid and his buddies find the counselor after defeating the monsters at the Indian Burial Ground.
Rough version of the cutscene, where Nathan and Mimsy take the last camp counselor as a hostage at the Boat House.
Rough version of the cutscene, where the New Kid defeats Nathan and Mimsy. Includes animation of Zarganor landing and running away with the counselor.
Five second storyboard animation, where the New Kid hands over milk to the possessed Doctor Timothy.
More finalized, but still a rough-looking cutscene. This also includes the shots of Timmy's moving towards Zarganor to reveal that he is mind-controlled, along with Nathan and Mimsy. It' worth noting that in ths cutscene, when Timmy is moving towards Zarganor, his eyes look normal, only for them to be lit up when he gets closer to Zarganor. In the final game, Timmy's eyes are already lit up when moving towards him.
Very early animation of the Old Farmer next to the last camp counselor and of Zarganor starting the final phase of the fight.
Early version of the cutscene that takes place before the start of the final phase of the fight. This cutscene is nearly identical to the final, the only difference being a few seconds of silence at the end.
Miscellaneous
A very strange cutscene called "1024timefartfullscreen0". It shows some random video clips played in reverse, some of them being from movies. Its filename strongly suggests that it would've been used in the Bowels Of The Beast segment of the game, when the player first uses the timefart ability to rewind time.
