This prototype contains a variety of debug menus and tools. Notably, the debug menu seems to have a lot more options than in later builds, including a level & memory editor.

Player 2 Debug Commands

By using the player 2 controller, there are some debug commands.

Start - Pauses the game. it has the pause sound, but no menu, and you cannot select ninjitsu. You can unpause by pressing Start again.

A (while in the aforementioned pause state) - Advances 1 frame. If the game isn't paused, this has no effect.

B - Skips the current section of the level you are on. If it's the final section of the round, the stage is cleared. Doesn't work when paused.

C - Causes the player to do a short hop. Tapping it repeatedly allows you to basically fly. Doesn't work when paused.

Graphics Editor

A graphics editor, called "Character Editor 3.31" ingame. As you can guess, you can alter the game's graphics with it. After you exit the section where you're editing, the graphics will revert back to their usual state.

Memory Editor

Level Editor

A level editor that allows you to place tiles and also acts as a free camera. If you move the camera, all sprites on the screen will move with it. If you exit the debug menu, the camera will move back to the player's original position.
