My Street was revealed at E3 2002.
The My Street demo was released as a standalone disc and is also featured on Official U.S. Playstation 2 Magazine Demo Disc 68/Kiosk Demo Disc 2.9 and Official U.K. PlayStation 2 Magazine Demo 39.
The My Street (Dec 6, 2002 prototype) or My Street Review Code disc was an early prototype build made 3 months before the final retail release.
Demo vs. Proto vs. Final
There are a few small differences when it comes to the demo vs. the prototype vs. the final builds, mainly visual and a few texture changes.
Demo Builds
The standalone demo seems to be the earliest build released. It has the most notable differences, animals didn't exist, and some things were unfinished. You are able to play Marbles and Dodgeball. The NTSC Playstation Magazine/Kiosk Disc build is a build of the final game with story mode disabled and Volleyball being the only game available to play. The only difference from the final is that it uses the camera from the prototype build at the playground. The PAL Playstation Magazine build is the same. It is a version of the final build with story mode disabled, Marbles being the only game available, and it uses the normal camera at the playground. The demo referred to below will be the standalone demo disc build.
You are only able to talk to the NPC "Farm Boy" in the standalone demo build.
He says some weird things to you.
Prototype
The prototype build uses a different voice actress for "your mom" in the game that never ended up making it into the final build. The game files from the prototype have unused full story mode voice lines using this voice actress, intending she was either to be the final voice or was just a placeholder. This also means that there is potentially a partially completed story mode in the prototype version since a lot of story mode audio files are on the disc, it is just not enabled. In customization, the voices are unable to be selected & you cannot visit "My House" on the map to change clothes in "Play" mode in the prototype.

Main Menu
Each build has different options available at the main menu, "ON-LINE" being renamed throughout. Only "PLAY" mode is available in the first two builds.
The demo build features a standstill background fixed in a random spot around the map. A flying camera was added to the prototype and final build for the background. Nails were also added onto the interface to improve the look. The top of the menu is squeezed smaller, and the bottom is stretched longer to fit more options. The "My Street" logo and "Clubhouse" text are squeezed smaller to fit. "ON-LINE" from the demo was renamed to "ONLINE" for the prototype, and then "NETPLAY" in the final.
