It's vs. its
Its is the possessive pronoun, but it's is a contraction of it is. More info here. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 23:18, 23 April 2018 (EDT)
Audio Files
Please upload files as .oggs, not .wavs. To convert to ogg, use Audacity or a similar tool that can save as oggs. Also, please make sure the file names for a game's content have the game's name, not the user uploading it. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 22:00, 31 July 2018 (EDT)
- if wav files are available. then why don't they work? — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Enteryourusername (talk • contribs)
- Because the media player here doesn't support .wav playback. It supports oggs only, if I recall. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 01:24, 1 August 2018 (EDT)
Ownership
You do not "own" any pages or files on this website. Please do not harass other users for editing a page/file you edited or created. Thank you for your cooperation. -Ehm (talk) 05:46, 16 August 2018 (EDT)
- But the deletion of the files that I uploaded made me mad. Also, about the ownership thing, so wait, everytime I create an article or a file, the admins just owns the article or file? If that's the case, then it doesn't look good to me — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Enteryourusername (talk • contribs)
- Again, your files weren't deleted. All we did was move them to add the game's name (i.e. Enteryourusername-trader sketch.tgx.png to Stronghold (2001)-trader sketch.tgx.png). Just because we replace your user name with the game's name does not mean we deleted your files and the guidelines for this very wiki note that you're supposed to use the game's name (not the user's name). Any time you create an article of file, any user can easily do whatever they want - not just the admins. Also, no one owns any article or file unless it's a user page. Even then, because of MediaWiki limitations, we can limit page edits to certain user groups and not certain users. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 22:21, 16 August 2018 (EDT)
Files
The files were edited to fix their names as they're mandatory to have game names included. Smoke (talk) 11:54, 16 August 2018 (EDT)
I did not think that my edited files are deleted, someone actually deleted my files. Here's the proof: https://tcrf.net/index.php?title=Stronghold_%282001%29%2FUnused_Sounds&type=revision&diff=588683&oldid=586701
