Shivers

Hey! I see you're uploading stuff from that game, and that's awesome. I just wanted to let you know that the text for ripped graphics is, well, rippedgraphic - no s. I went ahead and fixed that for you. I also wanted to ask about a few of those images, are they stored by the game at 640x480? That amount of blank space seems odd, so I'm just curious. Anyway, can't wait to see what you add. :) // Foxhack 19:06, 26 May 2013 (EDT)

That blank space is where the UI (the life essence bar etc.) would go, I presume. Glad to see someone's already interested in what I'm doing :) --Lue 19:10, 26 May 2013 (EDT)

Nancy Drew Stay Tuned for Danger AVF Graphics

Hello. I was wondering how did you manage to open the AVF files for Nancy Drew Stay tuned for Danger? --Ajb (talk) 15:54, 21 October 2016 (EDT)

I wrote my own tools after figuring out the format (with some help from the Jul forums associated with TCRF for the compression). I decided a while back that said tools need an overhaul, but until I do so the old code is here: https://gitlab.com/ShimmerFairy/oldhertools . I'm unfortunately not familiar with binary distribution creation, so I won't be able to make a binary if you can't compile it for whatever reason. It's also worth noting that I was going through the games sequentially back when I focused on digging through these games, so some of the executables have cautious checks on making sure you're extracting a game whose file formats have been examined.
At the very least my current documentation on the file format is there as well, meaning you could write a tool of your own, if you happen to be a programmer and are more familiar with a language that's not C++ :) . ShimmerFairy (talk) 01:42, 24 October 2016 (EDT)

Categorizations

Please make sure your upload script includes the categorization. It will take some time to really get through every one of those images manually. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 23:24, 25 November 2017 (EST)

I did make sure to put {{rippedgraphic|Windows}} in the description for each image. I just checked an image and somehow it didn't go through, so I'm sorry for that.
Checking on the script a bit, that category was part of the description I factored out of the individual descriptions. The common description apparently went through on some (e.g. File:Nd03 mhm unused ABY LanternCUANIM.gif), but not others (e.g. File:Nd03 mhm used ABYDRESSERCUOVLANIM.gif), so that's weird. Sorry about that in any case, but I'll be glad if that's the only thing my script bugged out on. I'll get to fixing this problem on the images that are missing the info, I won't just leave it to the admins to do. --ShimmerFairy (talk) 23:39, 25 November 2017 (EST)
