Sonic Crackers level chunks
Hey, is it alright for me to ask how you managed to rip all the level chunks from Sonic Crackers? I've been trying to find a way to do it myself, but all I can find are outdated tools like SonED2 with little premade files to read data from a Sonic Crackers disassembly. --BSonirachi (talk) 21:13, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
- I used SonED2 and edited Sonic 2 project files to use the stage data from MarkeyJester's Sonic Crackers disassembly: http://info.sonicretro.org/Disassemblies#Sonic_Crackers though this is probably not the best way to do it, all I needed was to rip the chunks. --Supermanrio202 (talk) 21:28, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
- Ahhh, I tried to do the same thing, but I ran into problems with "Object Def" and "Object Palette" as there aren't any premade ones for Crackers, though my goal is to also rip the level maps and full tile/chunk listings. Can I use your project files? --BSonirachi (talk) 21:35, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
- I went ahead and made SonED2 project files for the Sonic Crackers disassembly, with the object definitions from Chaotix: https://mega.nz/file/fg8zCC4D#VhGiZjrDp_iKf6Nao6_dECtTlc4JI56NoUmUkkRGTOg It doesn't seem to work that well with editing levels, but it's able to dump the assets and maps. --Supermanrio202 (talk) 04:18, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
- Ah, map and asset rips are all I really need with these. Cheers for helping out with the project files! --BSonirachi (talk) 17:03, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
