Beyond Good & Evil is an action-adventure game developed and published by Ubisoft. The story follows Jade, an investigative reporter and martial artist, who works with a resistance movement to reveal a planet-wide alien conspiracy. The player controls Jade and allies, solving puzzles, fighting enemies, and obtaining photographic evidence.
Michel Ancel, creator of the Rayman series and this game, envisioned it as the first part of a trilogy. This ultimately didn't pan out, and likely never will since Ancel has quit game development all together as of 2020.
Contents
Unused Objects
Some unused objects can be accessed through cheating.
Carlson-Peeters
The book ported by Double H is a fixed object that you can't use, transfer, or access to its description. If you try to get access to the item description through cheating, you can see a very basic and unused model of a book, and no text for the description.
Unused Object 1
This object has no icon, name, or description text. Its model is similar to a taser.
Unused Object 2
This object has no icon, name, or description text. It has two different animated textures.
Unused Music
There's an unused alternative version of the Akuda Bar music in the game files.
Unused Sounds
| To do: There might be more unused sounds, but it's hard to know without mistakes. |
Unused Checkpoint Sound
This unused sound might be used as checkpoint/new lap sound for the races early in development.
No Turbo Sample
It seems that early in development you couldn't use turbo when the boat was damaged as it's said in GsalyX_118.wad.
Longer Spanish Samples
Some of the samples from the Spanish dialogues are larger than they should be, being cropped later by the game. At the end of these samples we can hear the sound of paper pages.
Unused Videos
There's an unused propaganda video with an early General Kehck model.
| Unused | Used |

There's a pre-rendered video with one of the ending cutscenes. The video is shorter than the cutscene, and it has some differences from the final cutscene.
Unused Models
Certain creatures that were not seen in the game still had their models in the game files.
Alternative Domz Spider
An alternative model of a domz spider. It could be placed somewhere within the game but outside the perimeters of the game world (void) and thus never encountered.
Unused Code Functionalities
Infinite Items
If you set the quantity of any item (like turbo) to a extremely high value through cheating, the item counter will dissapear from the HUD, and every time you use the item, its quantity value won't decrease. This infinite item functionality is never used in normal gameplay, and seems to be unfinished as the quantity value still decreases when you transfer the item to your partner.
Command Line BIG File Path
On the Windows version of the game, you can specify the path and name of the BIG packed file with the game resources passing it as parameter on the command line. If no parameter is passed, it defaults to BGE.exe /B sally_clean.bf.
