Blazing Dragons is a point-and-click adventure set in a medieval land shared by dragons and humans, with quite a few odd citizens on both sides. It's also more than a bit influenced by Monty Python.

While the game was somewhat loosely based on the concurrent Nelvana cartoon of the same name, they didn't share any voice cast (or character designs, for that matter). The game boasted such voice talent as Terry Jones, Cheech Marin, and Jim Cummings, whereas the cartoon... couldn't.

Debug Text

Hmmm...
To do:
See if this is in the Saturn version as well.

The tty debug console displays some chatter when loading movies, objects, and executables. This is not visible to the user.

Debug Display

Hmmm...
To do:
  • Find out more about this.
  • See if there's a way to display this on actual PS1 hardware/emulators or the Saturn version.
BlazingDragons DebugGraphics.png

A simple debug display that displays squares and numbers around various on-screen objects, and seems to show their layering order. It can most easily be seen by running the game in ScummVM and pressing the key binded to "Debug Graphics" (can be adjusted from the ScummVM launcher under Edit game.../Keymaps).

Unused Dialogue

Hmmm...
To do:
Check for more. There may be some unused takes.

Gasflame's Old Voice

Amidst the game's 2,000-something lines of dialogue, voice lines for Sir Gasflame using a different actor (and script) from the final game can be found. Judging by the poor sound quality and acting, these were likely intended as placeholders.

Come down, imposter! And I'll slice that grotesque costume off of you!
You're not fat enough to be the real King Allfire!
Sir George's spies have done their job well, imposter. I suppose you know that it was I who ate the King's prized opal nuggets last week!
Come down and face me, vile villain! You'll rue the day you were born!
Face me, or I'll bring all of Castle Grimm down around your head!
I am a Knight of the Square Table, imposter! I shall not rest until you are unmasked!
Surrender now, or feel my wrath!
Come face me now, charlatan, or I'll spread the word that you are a coward!
Yes! I can spot an imposter a mile away!
