The Source Developer Asset Repository is a repo full of all manner of unused/early content for many Source Engine games, including Half-Life 2: Deathmatch. For someone to have gained to the repository, one must obtain a license from Valve Software at the cost of $2,500 after your project was approved for licensing, and sign a non-disclosure agreement. Despite the NDA requirement and fee, many files from the repository have been leaked online over the years, shedding some light on all sorts of odd unused concepts found in the game.

Episode Two's history of leaks started in 2016, with the entirety of the game's map source files being leaked, and it all coming to an end with the 2023 Source Developer Asset Repository leaks.

Maps

The map sources for Episode Two's maps were leaked to the public in 2016-2017. Within the map sources there are also earlier revisions of the used maps and even test maps for cut features!

Textures

Antlion Egglayer

A texture sheet for a cut Antlion Egglayer - but not the actual model - were leaked as part of the 2023 Source Asset Repository leaks.

Magnusson

An early facemap for Dr. Magnusson was leaked with the 2023 leak as "maggie_facemap".

While the Juvenile Advisor's texture sheet is in the game files, the model however, is not. The model was leaked countless times, and has its animations intact.
