おかあさん ・主人公の母。年齢32歳。 ・優しくて賢い女性。夫（主人公の父）を尊敬している。 ・料理が得意。	Mom - The main character's mother. She is 32 years old. - A gentle and wise woman. She holds her husband (the protagonist's father) in high esteem. - Cooking is her forte.
オダマキ博士 ・ポケモンの研究者。年齢35歳。 ・ミシロタウンで主人公の家の隣に住んでいるが、研究所に泊まり込んでいるか、 フィールドワークに出ていることが多く、あまり家には帰らない。 ・主人公の父の、大学時代の後輩にあたる。 ・デスクワークよりもフィールドワークを好む行動派。少々豪快な性格。	Professor Birch - A Pokémon researcher. He is 35 years old. - He lives next door to the main character in Littleroot Town, but is usually either staying overnight at the lab or out on fieldwork, so he is rarely at home. - Was a junior student to the protagonist's father during his university days. - An active kind of person who prefers fieldwork to desk work. Has a somewhat larger-than-life personality.	Age matches Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
ミツルくん ・生まれつき身体が弱い少年。年齢10歳。 ※といっても、あまりに弱々しいのではなく、ひ弱なりの可愛さ、格好良さを出したい。 ・トウカシティの自宅をはなれ、シダケタウンの療養所で静養している。 ・いつか病気が治ったら、ポニータと一緒に野山を駆けまわるのが夢。 ・主人公からポニータをもらうことで次第に病気が回復していく。 ・のちにトクサネシティのジムリーダーとなる。	Wally - A young boy who has been physically frail since birth. He is 10 years old. -- That said, we don't want him to be too delicate; rather, we want him to be cute and cool in his own sickly way. - Left his home in Petalburg City to get some rest at a sanatorium in Verdanturf Town. - His dream is to run around the hills and fields with his Ponyta once he recovers from his illness. - After receiving a Ponyta from the protagonist, his condition gradually starts to improve. - Later becomes the Mossdeep City Gym Leader.	The Wally catching tutorial originally involved Ponyta, which is not present at all in the final game's Hoenn Pokedex. The Ralts line didn't exist yet, and was later conceived some time prior to April 2002 for the purposes of giving Wally a signature three-stage Psychic type Pokémon. Instead of Tate & Liza, Wally would have been the Gym Leader of Mossdeep City. Age matches Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
ムクゲ社長 ・「デボン・コ・ ﾝ[ポレーション」の社長。年齢52歳。 ・各種の薬品開発をおこなっている。 ・おもに「みずタイプ」のポケモンの進化に興味がある。進化おたく。 ・ポケモン好きの趣味が高じて、進化に効く薬を開発するための部署まで作ってしまった。 ・有る意味、純粋な人であり、悪人というわけではない。	Mr. Joseph - The president of the Devon Corporation. He is 52 years old. - He works on developing medicines of all types. - Primarily interested in the evolutions of Water-type Pokémon. A huge evolution geek. - As his love of Pokémon intensified, he created a division of the company responsible for developing medicines to help in evolution. - In a sense, he is more of a genuine person than an evil one.	Has the non-final name of ムクゲ Mukuge, instead of ツワブキ Tsuwabuki (Stone). Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire would later repurpose ムクゲ Mukuge (Joseph) as his first name. Is described as loving Water-type Pokémon, instead of the final's love for rare stones. Devon is described as creating medicine, something not present in the final game. Age matches Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

He is 46 years old. - This is just his public persona; in reality, he's using Pokémon to hatch an evil scheme. - Enticed President Joseph into providing him funding, creating the shadowy organization "Team Tunnel." - Is using Team Tunnel henchmen as his own subordinates to infiltrate the company.	An early version of Maxie was apparently meant to be a high-ranking member of the Devon Corporation, using its resources to create Team Magma (which still uses the early name Tunnel Gang here).
キャプテン・クスノキ ・西の海域をなわばりにする海賊グループ「マリン団（仮称）」のボス。年齢38歳。 ・と思われているが、本当はトンネル団からポケモンを守ろうとしている正義の味方。 ・絶滅しそうなポケモンをトンネル団などから保護しているので、誘拐犯と間違えられている。 ・集めたポケモンはトクサネシティの島に建設中のロケットで逃がそうとしている。 ・ネィリンシティのジムリーダーもしている。	Captain Stern - The boss of "Team Marine" (temporary name), a group of pirates who have made the western sea their turf. He is 38 years old. - Or so it seems. In reality, he is a heroic figure fighting to defend Pokémon from Team Tunnel. - Because he protects Pokémon on the brink of extinction from groups like Team Tunnel, he is mistaken for an abductor. - Plans to free the Pokémon he has collected using a rocket currently under construction on Mossdeep City's island. - Also serves as the Gym Leader of Neirin City.	Early Archie, who is described as a captain and the boss of the pirate group "Marine Gang" (Team Aqua). Has the early name of クスノキ Kusunoki (Stern), instead of アオギリ Aogiri (Archie), which is currently being used by Captain Stern instead. They would switch names for the final. His plan to use the rocket in Mossdeep City to release Pokémon may have been the inspiration of Team Magma's attack on the Space Center in Emerald. He was also the Gym Leader of Sootopolis City, instead of Wallace or Juan.
１２大将（仮称） ・クスノキ船長の ｽ目的の崇高さに共鳴して、行動を共にする１２人のトレーナー。	The 12 Generals (temporary name) - 12 Trainers who sympathize with the nobility of Captain Stern's goals and act alongside him.	Not present at all in the final game, with Shelly and Matt being the only other notable members of Team Aqua.
ソライシ博士 ・キンセツシティに住んでいる。年齢29歳。 ・若いのに落ち着いた雰囲気のある人物。言葉使いも丁寧。ですます調。 ・ポケモンにはあまり強い興味を持っていない。 ・星のかけらを持っていくと、個数に応じて様々なポケモンと交換してくれる。	Professor Cozmo - Lives in Mauville City. He is 29 years old. - Despite his young age, he has a calm, collected personality. He also speaks in a polite way. Uses "desu/masu." - His interest in Pokémon is not particularly strong. - If the player brings him Star Pieces, he will trade them for various Pokémon depending on how many they have.	Lived in Mauville City instead of Fallarbor Town, matching the July 2002 map. He is described as having little interest in Pokémon, and would trade some to the player in exchange for Star Pieces. This may have been referenced in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, where one of the letters in Sea Mauville recounts that his father once gave him a Shelgon, which he then traded to a friend in exchange for Solrock (a star). Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire reveal his age to be 40 instead of 29.
ミスターかぜの ・「サイクルショップかぜの」の店主。年齢65歳。 ・痩せていて白いヒゲを生やした、初老のオヤジ。古風なイメージが欲しい。 ・三度のメシより自転車が好きで好きでたまらない、老練の自転車職人。 ・自転車のカスタマイズも請け負っている。 ・自分の体力だけで進む“自転車”という乗り物に惚れ込み、その普及に情熱を燃やしている。	Mister Rydel - The owner of Rydel's Cycles. He is 65 years old. - A slim, older man with a white beard. He wants to project an old-fashioned image. - An expert bicycle craftsman who just can't get enough of bikes, and loves them more than three meals a day. - Also responsible for customizing bikes. - Is captivated by bicycles, vehicles that move through one's physical strength alone, and is intensely passionate about popularizing them.
サトルとペドロ ・「サイクルショップかぜの」で働くアシスタントコンビ。 ・サトルは東洋人、23歳。強度計算などを得意とするインテリタイプ。 ・ペドロは西洋人、26歳。メカの組み立てを得意とする手先の器用さが自慢。	Satoru & Pedro - An assistant duo who work at Rydel's Cycles. - Satoru is a 23-year-old Asian man. An intellectual who is good at strength calculations and the like. - Pedro is a 26-year-old Westerner. He takes pride in his handiness and specializes in assembling mechanisms.	While one employee can be found inside Rydel's Cycles in the final game, he is not given a name or personality.
ハギ老人 ・104番道路の南の浜辺の小屋に住む漁師。年齢75歳。 ・年はとっているが、抜群の操船技術を持つ。 ・｢つも相棒の鳥ポケモンと一緒にいる。	Mr. Briney - A fisherman who lives in a seaside shack on south Route 104. He is 75 years old. - He may be old, but he has excellent sailing skills. - Always found together with his bird Pokémon partner.	Peeko is only described as a bird Pokémon. Wingull still did not have a name as late as May 2002, although it had already been decided as Pelipper's pre-evolution and Mr. Briney's Pokemon as early as April. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire would reveal his age as 72, instead of 75.

Has the name アオギリ Aogiri (Archie), instead of クスノキ Kusunoki (Stern). This would be swapped with the leader of Team Aqua in the final. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire would reveal his age to be 57, instead of 48.

Currently building a ship at the request of Superintendent Aogiri. He is 57 years old. - However, his shipbuilding just isn't working out, even when following calculations. - Laments that he lacks the experience of a fisherman intimately familiar with the sea. - In other words, he wants Mr. Briney to help him.	Age is given as 57, which matches Captain Stern's age in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
パキラ ・放浪のメテオハンター。年齢24歳。 ・各地に落ちている星のかけらを探し、それを売ってトレーナー修業の資金にしている男。 ・たすき掛けにしたバッグ、つばの広い日除け帽、半ズボン、ワークブーツ。	Pakira - A wandering meteor hunter. He is 24 years old. - A man who searches the region for fallen Star Pieces and sells them to fund his Trainer pursuits. - Wears a bag around his chest, a wide-brimmed sun hat, shorts, and work boots.	A character not present at all in the final game. May have inspired Aarune in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, as his physical description matches, though Aarune is 25 instead of 24.

Characteristics, etc.: 67 years old. Male. Having grown up in a city where many different types of people come together, he has become quite sociable. Just being with (talking to) people makes him happy. In the past, he was in charge of the electrification of Mauville, but because he felt that excessive urban renovation would upset the balance, he abandoned those plans. His knowledge of electricity is limited to remodeling his gym. Believes that laughing is good for your health.

Characteristics, etc.: 37 years old. Male. A friend of Professor Birch. He is a balanced Trainer who uses Normal-type Pokémon for their few weaknesses, while also trying to make up for those they do have.	Still hasn't received a name.
名前 : ナギ (マキ科の植物・凪) 所在 : ヒワマキシティ タイプ : ひこう フレーズ : せかいにはばたく とりつかい 特徴など : 16歳。女性。 第一印象からして活動的。ポケモンにのって移動するとき体を冷やさないようなコスチューム。 うまれつき空気の流れが読める(みえる) らしく、ポケモンをとばすとき、それを指示できる。 そのせいか、本人にそのつもりはなくても、 どこかしら他人をみくだしているように受け取られがち。 ツリーハウスで暮らす人たちのためにポケモンと共存する心得を教えてまわる、 いわば、インストラクターのようなこともしている。	Name: Winona (jp: Nagi) (Podocarpaceae sp. / calm) Location: Fortree City Type: Flying Phrase: "A bird keeper who spreads her wings worldwide." Characteristics, etc.: 16 years old. Female. From first impressions, she is energetic. Wears a costume that prevents her body from getting too cold when she rides her Pokémon. Seems to have a natural ability to read (see) air currents, allowing her to direct her Pokémon as they fly. Perhaps because of this, even though she herself doesn't mean to, she tends to be perceived as looking down on others in some way. Also serves as an instructor of sorts, going around and teaching treehouse dwellers how to coexist with Pokémon.
名前 : ミクリ (水生植物の一種) ←現状、仮称です。 所在 : ルネシティ タイプ : みず フレーズ : うみと ポケモンをまもる おとこ 特徴など : 34歳。男性。 水のプリンスともよばれ、上品な雰囲気をかもしだす男。 おっとりとした口調で、ややもすれば弱々しく見られがちだが 自分のポリシーを貫く強さを秘めている。そのポリシーとは「ポケモンは芸術」。 ときおり水の都ともいうべきルネシティで水ポケモンによるイリュージョンを行う。	Name: Wallace (jp: Mikuri) (aquatic plant sp.) ← Currently a temporary name. Location: Sootopolis City Type: Water Phrase: "A man who protects both the sea and Pokémon." Characteristics, etc.: 34 years old. Male. A man who exudes an air of elegance, also known as the Water Prince. Speaks softly and tends to be seen as weak, but hides the strength to stick to his own policy -- "Pokémon are art." Occasionally creates illusions using Water Pokémon in Sootopolis City, also known as the City of Water.	Tentative name, but it's what they ended up going with in the final game anyway. Is listed seventh, but is the eighth gym in the final (and the other part of this file). Type is listed as Water, in spite of the other part of the file calling it the Ice gym.

名前　　：フヨウ　（沖縄でみられるハイビスカ ｻス科の植物） タイプ　：ゴースト 特徴など：女性・１４歳。 　　　　　おくりびやまの老婆の血縁。おくりびやまで遊ぶうちに、 　　　　　ゴーストタイプのポケモンと意思の疎通ができるようになっていた。 　　　　　自分はポケモントレーナーとしてはまだ修行が必要だと自覚しているが 　　　　　「意思が疎通できる」ことは誇りに思っている。
