If you're reading this, you've probably never heard of this game before. Liquidator: 3D Action is a very obscure Russian game on the Build Engine. This game is so obscure it's like the whole game is unused.

The plot goes like this: Scientists have invented teleports which accidentally opened portals to other worlds full of hostile creatures (sound familiar?), who stole the fuel for teleporters and are planning further invasion into the earth. The main task is to find all barrels and destroy them.

Unused Graphics

A folder titled MVR can be found in the files. It has a couple of unused graphics scattered throughout.

SPIDERS SPIDERS!

Four sprites of a spider. They are in .ico format, possibly meaning this game was intended to have an animated icon, but games cannot support animated icons making their existence rather odd.

Early Office Level

If you run the game in EDuke and use the user map, you can access an early version of the office level. It has a few differences from the final version.

  • The player Spawns in the target range instead of the entrance.
  • The player is equipped with a revolver from the start.
  • There are no weapons in the arsenal.
  • One of the walls in the exhibition room has no texture.
  • The music is completely different from the final version.

The level is titled as "Backup" so it was probably a backup version of the office.

Unused Sounds

Flag.wav, a plane flying by.

Logo.wav, although this music is used on the logos, the logos are already recorded making this copy unused.

Swith.wav, a clicking sound. It's a copy of the game's switch sound.

Unused Items

All of the gadgets from Duke Nukem 3D can be obtained by cheating. Only the Medikit and scuba gear are actually used.

Jetpack

The jetpack is leftover and is fully functional.

Night Vision

The Night Vision Goggles are also in the game.

Steroids

The steroids remain as well.

Decoy/Holoduke

The Holoduke (technically Hololiquidator) remains in the coding, but it doesn't show up because the player has no sprites. It can still be used to fool enemies, but it will just be invisible.

Protective Boots

These also remain in the coding.
