A JRPG taking place in a fantasy version of Victorian England, featuring apprentice detectives saving their country (and the world?) via the power of spirits.

Developer Credit

Found at offset 0x83F of the ELF executable:

Programd By Fujio Urano Powerd By Ritalin

At the time, Fujio Urano worked as a programmer for UNiT; his name is also listed in the game's staff roll.

Dummy File

The extensionless file DMY, found in the folder NOUSE, is actually an LZH archive containing raw bitmap versions of the game's many rooms and screens, as well as files that notate segments (.tep) and animations (.tea). Some .psd project files and .tim images can also be found.

Two files, R58\X.BMP and R58\R58PTS.TIM, have also been intentionally broken and won't extract normally. To fix these, overwrite the blanked compression type string ----- at offsets 0x2 and 0x246 with -lh5-.
