When authoring a CD, DVD, or Blu-Ray, dummy files may be added, usually for discouraging illegal copying (by increasing total size and/or reducing efficiency of compression), faster reading times (by pushing meaningful files towards the outer edge of the disc), or just to meet a required minimum size for the format.

Since the content of these files don't matter, anything can be used; but sometimes unusual things can slip in.
