Märchen Adventure Cotton 100% is a shoot-'em-up and the only game from the Cotton series to be released on the SNES. It stars the gluttonous witch, Cotton, in yet another quest for her magical sweets. It's technically the second game in the series, having similar gameplay to the first game.
The game received an emulated international release in 2021 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 by ININ Games, though the game's language is still in Japanese. Strictly Limited Games released a localized version of the game as a physical SNES cartridge in 2021.

Debug Display
This debug display exists, but no code to access it seems to remain in the game. Use the Pro Action Replay (PAR) codes 80A89341 80A894C8 to display it during the game.
The values next to each item are hardcoded; what exactly they were supposed to represent is unknown. There are also strings for STG5 and STG6 that aren't displayed for some reason.
Break Handler
This screen appears whenever the game executes a BRK instruction, and shows some basic information about where it occurred. Pressing Start exits this screen, though depending on how it was reached, this will probably crash the game.
Visual Test
Press Up, X, Down, B, Left, Y, Right, A, L, R, Start on the title screen.
Sound Test
Press A, B, X, Right, Down, Left, A, Start on the title screen. Press Select to toggle between categories, Up and Down to select a track, and Y to play it.
Level Select
Press Up, Down, Left, Right, Up, Down, Left, Right, B, A at the magic selection screen. A "1", which denotes the level to start on, will appear to the right of Cotton at the top of the screen. Press Up or Down to toggle it.

Version Differences
This page or section needs more images. There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this. |
The 2021 localization removes Datam Polystar from the title screen. Another slight difference is that the Success logo has been moved over to the left.
