Mario Kart DS/Post-Final Demo Version

General Differences

• No pre-game note appears; the game goes straight to the title screen.
• There is no character selection, meaning Mario is the only playable character. Every other racer will be a different colored Shy Guy.
• Course flyovers aren't present.
• The only playable courses in this demo are Figure-8 Circuit and SNES Mario Circuit 1. Once you complete one, the next race will be on the other.

• The art of Mario riding the Standard MR was removed.
• The logo was centered and moved upwards.
• The only options are Single Player and Multiplayer.
• Since this demo was made available in 2006, the copyright year was updated to 2005-2006.
• The copyright text itself was moved up slightly and centered.
• The white gradient on the top screen is now completely horizontal rather than being at an angle.
• A banner with the text "Demo Version" was added.
• The sound for selecting an option is slightly different.
