...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.

PUBG Mobile is a free-to-play battle royale mobile adaptation of PUBG: Battlegrounds.

Regional Differences

Due to the Chinese government's strict censorship of games and the ban of "Battle Royale", the Chinese version of the game was renamed "GAME FOR PEACE" and contains the following differences:

  • Now has a "signal value". When the player is outside the safe area, the "signal value" is deducted instead of health. When the signal value reaches 0, the player will die immediately.
  • Now, players entering the top 5 are also considered victorious.
  • Now, most of the blood and gore effects in the game have been removed.
  • Now, including Chinese original events, these events do not appear in PUBGM.
  • Now, due to the requirements of Chinese regulatory authorities, all players must verify their real identities. If they are minors, according to Chinese government regulations, they can only play the game for one hour every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 20:00 to 21:00 (UTC+8).
  • For Huawei devices, the graphics options on Qualcomm chip phones will be more limited than on PUBGM. There are special optimizations for phones with Chinese-made Huawei HiSilicon chips that will allow for higher frame rates.

PUBG:EB backdoor leftover in GP

Even though PUBG:EB failed to pass the Chinese government's approval and was forced to change its name to GAME FOR PEACE, there are still remnants of code in the game. By adding "EnjoyCJZC.ini" with specific content to a specific directory of the game, GAME FOR PEACE can also unlock all graphics options ,just like the same in PUBG:EB, and "CJZC" is the pinyin abbreviation of the Chinese name of PUBG:EB.
