Judging by these graphics, it seems that there was going to originally be a Cheese Pickaxe.
It seems there was going to be a Quartz Pickaxe.
This alternate version of Ice Pickaxe is named pickaxe_ice_0-resources.assets-3700.png internally, it is most likely an early game texture.

These textures are a set known as BlockDoubler, consisting of BlockDoubler, BlockDoubler2, BlockDoubler3, and BlockDoubler4, their intended purpose is unknown, BlockDoubler is a clone of the ender pearl texture.
